It was a beautiful stay, we decorated the room to surprise my cousin’s girlfriend. We captured an awesome wedding proposal facing the ocean front and the views of the romantic Santa Monica Pier. It was just a perfect moment! Cindy, the hotel manager, was very accommodating and thoughtful during our stay. We also ordered in room dining and the food was great. Overall, it was an awesome and memorable stay!
Perfectly located next to the beach near the pier and walking distance of the shops. The light atrium makes a stylish statement with a lovely area for dining inside as well as plentiful terrace space. The pool was warm and clean and the bedrooms were very well appointed and comfortable. A lovely relaxing stay
Great stay at the Loews, on a trip that was part business, part family. The location is outstanding - right on the beach, with easy access to swimming, volleyball, and everything on the boardwalk and Santa Monica Pier. Also a good location in terms of getting around anywhere on LA's west side. Big shout out and thank you to Claire in VIP service who helped us with a couple things. Views from the rooms are outstanding. Nice game room for the kids, and the facilities including the pool area and gym were well maintained. One note, the hotel could make it easier for guests to get coffee in the morning. Overall I can strongly recommend the Loews Santa Monica!
The Loews is a very special hotel. From the extraordinary beach views to the attentiveness of the staff to the gorgeous rooms and comfortable appointments, we’ve never had a less than wonderful stay. Sophisticated and elegant without being stuffy, this is a top notch place to unwind.
From arrival to departure our stay was wonderful. All staff was very attentive to our requests and needs. The hotel and grounds were beautiful and clean. The pool and deck was wonderful and bar service at the pool was friendly and prompt.
Amazing hotel - food was great - wait time for food a bit long however - views are spectacular - good value for the money - first time for us - would go back for sure - super attentive staff for the most part..Stayed 2 nights would have loved an extra night - getting the car in and out was a breeze - our room was amazing - ocean view with the Santa Monica Pier in clear view wow! The gym and the locker room were astonishing - very impressive. There are signs of wear and tear on some of the furniture in the lobby and the dining areas especially the outdoor dining area and for a hotel of this caliber and price point thats rather unacceptable. Other than that we would stay again no question about it...
Exceptional service from the moment we arrived to when we checked out. Perfect location for our family vacation! Being on the beach and next to the Santa Monica pier gave our kids the Summer experience we were hoping to give.
First of all, the hotel itself is beautiful. It is a perfect balance of luxury and casual comfort. The hotel lobby, rooms, restaurant... well, everywhere is impeccably clean. Decorated in beautiful ocean blues, with oversize skateboards hanging high in the large, airy, 3 story lobby, it is relaxing and welcoming. Perfect for a couple, family or just a person wanting to get away. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by the valet team. They quickly called a bell hop who brought our bags up to our room. The room was a nice size, with two queen beds, a large closet and pantry with coffee maker and stocked drink cooler. The bathroom area is a little unusual... the area with two sinks and a large mirror - sporting modern adjustable lighting (very cool) - was nice and large, but then the toilet and shower were tucked behind a pocket door. The shower was large, but the area between the shower and the pocket door was just large enough to fit the toilet. With our family of four, it was hard for each of us to shower and try to get dressed in the small area in front of the toilet before opening the pocket door out to the rest of the room. We ate at the Blue Streak for breakfast (expect $20-$45 per person), the food was delicious and the staff friendly. My husband used the fitness center, which was clean and available until midnight. We didn't swim in the pool, but we sat outside next to it. It was a very nice, plenty of people using it, but not too crowded. The staff regularly placing clean covers on the lounge chairs as people left. My husband and I sat in the lobby a few times. While it was large and 3 stories tall, it was relaxing and welcoming and not very loud. Each time we were there, the Concierge came over and brought us water and asked if we needed anything. One morning he was passing out champagne. The hotel backs up to the beach. There are large windows at the back of the hotel that look right out onto the beach with the Santa Monica Pier just down the beach, far enough away to not hear all the noise, but close enough to see the ferris wheel lights and walk to in 5 mins. There is a small street / alley out the back of the hotel that has a path to the beach and the pier. I have never been to Santa Monica or the LA area. We started our trip in San Francisco and I'm finding that none of these areas are for someone looking for a bargain priced vacation. Lol. But, it was totally worth it! …
Lovely hotel. Breakfast either outside or inside, delicious choices. Or room service, which comes quickly. Just steps from the beach, the sand is warm and clean. Granddaughters loved the beach and the SM Pier with rides and dining experiences. My fav. spot was in the spa right next to the pool. Our room was a king suite, oceanfront with a pull out couch from the grandchildren and a comfy roll a way bed for me. The sound of the ocean waves was exquisite. A spectacular vacation with my daughter's family.
This is one of the most amazing places to stay whether it’s business or pleasure! We have been staying here for two weeks, in the month of August, for the past ten years and it only gets better every year. You can not beat the location, the cleanliness, the good food and service and most importantly you can’t beat the friendliness and kindness of the staff. It has become our second home and we love every moment we spend there! Very highly recommended!
