I had to cancel a booking for six nights at this hotel recently and return to Scotland after the suddent death of my father. This was just five days into my trip to the States. Given the circumstances I wrote to the hotel asking if they would consider a refund (or at least a partial refund) on my booking which...

I stayed here for one night only after a long flight from New York before an even longer flight back to New Zealand. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they answered any questions I had. The room was a good size, more than big enough for me and my piles of luggage. They also have laundry facilities and although...

To basic of an hotel for 150 bucks a night. Tiny room. Squeaky bed. We couldn't even enjoy being intimate cause they squeaked so much & loudy. They dont have bathrooms in the room. It felt like i was in solitary confinment cause the room was so plain. Didnt have any curtain on the window so i had no choice...

The room was pretty basic but they included towels and soap and shampoo. Tv and micro oven and a fridge. With a heater and a basin in the room. Toilets and showers are in the middle of the long corridor dotted with many pictures of old SAnta Monica. When we arrived a 940pm I had to use a friend's hotspot...

Loved it, shared bathrooms are still really private and the ladies have a key on them so you feel safe. It was really clean and had great facilities in the room and the bed was really comfy. The wifi worked well. the staff were lovely and the cafe attached to it does delicious food. It was a short bus ride...

My daughter and I stayed here for several nights while I helped her search for an apartment in the area. This was an affordable place for an extended stay and was a safe, relaxing visit with great, friendly staff. It had an "Old-style beach feel" reminiscent of a vintage Florida hotel. The shared bathrooms were clean and the beds were...

This was the cheapest place we could find in Santa Monica. The room was pretty small but still good. The shared bathroom was also okey but if it's a lot of people staying there, I can imagine that it gets very crowded so that's a bad thing. So to sum up, it's a good place to stay at if you...

This motel is clean, cheap and convenient for trips BY CAR to the Paul Getty Center in Santa Monica. Reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Only downside - no aircon, but our room had a powerful fan which did the job satisfactorily in September. Good cafe next door and nearby and an excellent Mexican restaurant within...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
