Stayed here after reading recommendations from the most seasoned experts on Trip Advisor. We came to see LA over 5 days and thought it would make a good home base despite LA traffic. Could not have been any better and greatly exceeded our expectations. Our room was a suite away from the street. It seemed like it might be a...

Clean, convenient, friendly. Not fancy. We had a wedding in the area. We were able to walk and see the area, we visited Santa Monica pier and Venice. It is cLose to the beach, quaint shops and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening.

A very good value for location, just two blocks from Santa Monica Beach. Close to some very good food and shopping. Much less expensive than Hotel Chains. Almost half the cost! Venice Beach to the south and Santa Monica Pier to the north.

Found this motel to be ideal for what I wanted: Near the beach, also near Santa Monica, parking, something that wouldn't break the bank. It is a classic motel style building with parking in the back. The rooms were really nice and clean. There are lots of bars, restaurants, etc nearby and it is an easy walk to Santa Monica...

Good place to wake up and walk around the neighborhood. We had booked a room on the second floor but decided to try one of the four DeLuxe rooms. These stay on a second buiding close to the hotel and accessible through the rear parking lot. Manager said not possible for the whole stay, only first and last nights. Upon...

Staying in Santa Monica can be expensive. If you're looking for a less expensive option this motel is the ideal choice. It's a no-frills place, but it's clean and impeccably maintained. Plus, free parking on site. While not on the beach, the motel's location is excellent. Just a short walk to either Venice or Santa Monica Beach. The motel is...

We stayed in Sea Shore Motel during peak season in August 2016 and were very satisfied with our stay. We wanted to stay near the beach, but everything was very expensive. Sea Shore motel price was affordable giving the location and the season. We are so glad we found it. Motel is located 2 blocks away from Santa Monica beach,...

The seashore motel was comfortable, clean, cosy, quiet and run by nice and friendly people!!! It was located within minutes of the beach, shops and transport. The rooms were comfortable and immaculate. The beds were clean and so was the bathroom. There was a nice rooftop terrace and plenty of parking! I highly recommend this lovely hidden gem. Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
