We booked a room at this place while we were driving up the coast. The person at the front desk was extremely rude and when we got into our room we found out that it looked NOTHING like the photos. Also there was a huge stain on the comforter and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile....

Breakfast was stale doughnuts which I think they bought as day old. Granola bars and coffee old apples and black bananas. That's it. Plus you have to ring the bell to even get in the lobby to get breakfast. No place to sit and the guy stands there waiting for you leave. The room is dirty. The carpet actually turned...

After having a terrible experience at quality inn, santa Maria, we were stranded on memorial day frantically looking for a hotel to stay. This motel popped up and it was just fine !- it was over hundred dollars, yes, but motel 6 was $150 ;). Beds were comfortable, room had enough space and was clean and well appointed for a...

I drove with my son to when he was going away for school in Santa Barbara and was looking for a less expensive place to stay. The cost was still over $100. There was, what looked like, prostitutes staying there for business plus drug dealing going on. LOTS of traffic in and out of the rooms and driveway. At one...

In Jan 2015 I called and made reservations for Monday, 2 Feb. I showed up and he said I had no reservation for that night and tried to sell me a room at an inflated price. At the price he offered and because of his terrible attitude I left for another hotel. One week later on the 9th I got...

Mediocre is the bad side of medium, right? There was little to say that was wrong with this motel as a place to spend the night, but there were so many areas that could have been handled better. Good: TV channels out the wazoo. Seriously, a million channels. Literally, well, hundreds. Perhaps 20 worth watching, and it was nice to...

We made reservations for what we thought was Rodeway Inn and it turned out to be Solaire Inn & Suites in Santa Maraia CA. It took over 1 hr to realize it was no longer Rodeway (that's what our reservation told it was). After calling them twice, asking if this was the Rodeway Inn and she indicated that it was,...

Environmentally friendly? No cups or anything but a bar of soap in the room is their idea of green. Smelled weird and the tv was hanging off the wall with wires exposed all around it. Doesn't take much to fix that. Car doors slamming with people coming and going all night. Yuck. Drive by and be glad you did.

This place is definitely a motel - all of the rooms are facing the parking lot, the building is single story and you park directly in front of your room. The rooms are decorated very modestly and it looks like they did some boring upgrades - the carpet and bedding were new and in good condition. The fridge didn't work....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's one thing to claim you are environmentally friendly. It's another to prove it in everything you do. The Solaire Inn and Suites, the first entirely eco-friendly hotel in the Santa Maria California Region, does just that.Water is our most precious resource. Low flush toilets and low flow showerheads were installed in every guest room at the Solaire Inn and Suites. Our low flush toilets save over half a gallon of water with each flush compared to regular toilets. Native and drought landscape around the hotel also helps reduce water use.We believe that every bit helps, no matter how big or small. We make it easy for guests to recycle and conserve resources when they stay at Solaire inn & Suites. Recycle bins are located in every guest room and throughout the property. Complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby rather than delivered to every guest room, and guests are encouraged to re-use their bath towel. This summer, 100 LED lighting will be in place. In addition, we will also be offering an Electric Car Charging Station. The Solaire inn & Suites® hotel is conveniently located near several area attractions and local points of interest. Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts theater, the Santa Maria Speedway, the Santa Maria Public Airport, Vandenburg Air Force Base and The Natural History Museum are all just minutes away from this Santa Maria, CA hotel. Nearby cities include Pismo Beach, Lompoc, San Luis Obispo, Shell Beach and Avila Beach. The hotel is nestled in the foothills of Santa Barbara County wine country.
