We stayed for 1 night at the Hotel paradox which is located about 1.5km away from the beach and has easy access onto the freeway (1). First impressions are really impressive when you pull into the complex. Parking was onsite, easy and plentiful at a charge of around $10 per night which despite wanting parking to be free all the...

Great location in Santa Cruz. Marriott property. Like my points as a platinum member. Under 200 a night. That's hard to find in this area. Used to be a old holiday inn back in the day. Updated with a great feel. Feels like a upscale courtyard. Dinner was really good. Normally I go out but decided to eat in and...

We stayed here for 5 nights and was asked for room location preference. We were given a top floor room with no problem. The room was quiet and the doors didn't slam, sometimes the smaller things make all the difference. All of the staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the pool and...

Great little stopover whilst traveling up the coast. Happy with visit. Clean, cool, little rooms and friendly service. The poolside alcohol service was a plus albeit a little on the slow side. Bizarre towel service works like a coat check. Otherwise would recommend.

We take frequent weekend trips away from our home in San Francisco, including weekends down in Santa Cruz. We were excited to see the new Marriott option. As one might expect from a Autograph property, we had a wonderful stay. Rooms are well appointed with a modern-rustic style. They include nice touches such as Illy in room coffee makers. We...

Looks like a converted motel with overly trendy decor. Conveniently located around the corner from the local jail. $240 got us a view of the parking lot. Walls are super thin, which was great for hearing the couple next door having sex. Not so great when I had to think of a way to explain the "noise" to my kids....

From the outside, the Paradox is clean and contemporary, but nothing special. It looks like a spruced up motel. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of the lobby and restaurant. Our room was a "mini" room but perfectly fine for two people. The bathroom was very spacious and modern . I thought the king bed...

You get great value for money in this hotel. Large room and comfortable bathroom. Easy parking and close to the highway. It has an outside heated pool.
