The room was clean and modern but had no coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave or safe. The location was good for walking to shopping and restaurants but many homeless people in the area. The staff was very helpful and the chef that did our breakfast and snacks was excellent.

The Pacific Blue Inn is a smaller venue than we are used to staying at in Santa Cruz. The location is a prime spot for shopping downtown and walking to the boardwalk/pier. We stayed on the third floor and loved that the room was extremely clean and the bathroom was in great condition. The inn keepers we talked with were...

Stayed at Pacific Blue Inn in September 2015 because everything else that we researched was unavaliable. We usually stay at chain hotels and were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The Inn is small with only a few rooms, but these rooms are large, clean and decorated with modern decor. There is an open court area that is quite and peaceful....

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with hospitality beyond my expectations. The owner (Andre?) assisted with parking, bags, directions to local attractions and dinner reservations. After a day of exploring near and far, actually took the 17 mile drive and shopped in Carmel for a while before returning to Pacific Blue and finding fresh baked muffins, tea and...

Not a cookie cutters chain motel, but a unique inn with Art Deco style rooms and a zen balanced courtyard. Marty, the breakfast chef and welcoming host brings you fresh, hot popovers with a wonderful smile. The rest of the made to order breakfast is gourmet quality. Clean, convenient, safe and friendly. A memorable part of a vacation.

The best thing about Pacific Blue Inn is that it is walking distance to both downtown and the beach/boardwalk. But its precise location isn't very charming --between a Walgreen's parking lot and an auto repair. Parking in the rear seemed a little dicey at night. And in the morning, the thumping music from the adjacent dance studio was an unwelcome...

The owners of this b&b take pride in their property. They have a couple bikes that you can use on a first come, first serve basis. Beach towels are available on request. Free parking and within walking distance to the boardwalk. We have stayed in other places in Santa Cruz and found this one to be a better value. Trip...

This place is a real find. We stayed 2 nights and it was really nice. The breakfast isn't free but well worth the money. This isn't cheap food but very carefully prepared. The rooms are really nice. Good sized room. The staff was friendly and helpful. They bake goodies for the evening in a self serve setting. (Good bundt cakes)...

Very nice, small hotel within walking distance to the Downtown area and Pier. Check-in is from 3p-5p. Bikes available for guests and there is a lovely garden area with water feature and fire-pit. We were on the 3rd floor, with a very comfortable mattress, fluffy pillows and soft sheets. The room had a large walk-in shower and fireplace facing the...

This was our first visit to Santa Cruz and my wife settled on the Pacific Blue Inn after a great deal of research. Good location in many ways -- walkable to the pier and beaches one way, to downtown the other way. Convenient parking, funky coffeehouse next door. Functional but soothing decor and comfortable bed, pleasant community courtyard. Breakfast a...
