Sea and Sand is the only lodging I patronize when I come to Santa Cruz to visit my son a few times a year. It is simply the best! (And I am selective!) Small and friendly with the best location possible. Short walk to beach, wharf and downtown. An unimpeded ocean and distant Boardwalk view from every room. Wine and...

My daughter and I loved the Inn. The location is perfect. It is within walking distance to the wharf and boardwalk. We jogged the bike trail along Cliff Drive to Natural Bridge. Amazing views! The Inn was better than I expected. It was quaint yet extremely modern. The staff was excellent and served a continental breakfast, cookies at three and...

Handicap parking good, but tricky to get out. Card good in showing down arrow of correct side to be used, Lovely sitting outside of our room having breakfast. Very nice selection for continental breakfast choices. We were celebrating my son's birthday, staying at my favorite place in Santa Cruz. I usually stay here twice a year. Grounds very nice for...

The room was very nice. It was wonderful to see the view from our bed. We liked the calm relaxing atmosphere. It was great to have a breakfast with fruits, yogurt, bagels, toasts, muffins, boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and tea and the possibility of taking and enjoying it outside and in our room. The afternoon cookies and pre-dinner complimentary wine...

What a wonderful surprise. For the price it is Great Place to stay. Easy walking distance from the Wharf where we ate and spent a couple of hours watching Sea Lions swimming and barking. We could watch surfers from our deck seats. It is also within walking distance of the Surfing museum/lighthouse, or easy driving distance from the many beaches...

Delightful little "ma & pa" hotel right on the beach in Santa Cruze looking out toward the pier. One of only a few hotels right on the ocean. Restaurant next door and plenty easy walk away on pier and street. Light breakfast, afternoon snacks and evening wine and cheese.

The location overlooking the wharf and water, as well as hearing the surf from your room, is amazing. The breakfast selection is yummy. I especially like the French Roast coffee, fresh fruit and scones.

Booked a weekend for my hubby's Birthday! We had a wonderful room with a fireplace and spa! They had ok breakfast and fun wine and cheese hour. Walked everywhere very well located. Loved listening to waves each nite. Having our own private deck with binoculars they provided we could watch the wildlife and surfers 😜

I wasn't sure what to expect, especially from the outside, but wow! Our favorite hotel by far of 3 on this vacation. And we were coming from Hyatt/Westin's. The rooms are spacious inside and ours had a fireplace and very large bathroom area. Two double sinks and a large counter were separate from the tub/toilet area which helps with a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The ocean-front Sea & Sand Inn has always been popular with savvy out-of-towners, but a major renovation in 2009 has added a whole new “wow” factor. Three new luxury king spa rooms with ocean view balconies were added; two spacious family cottages with private hot tubs and three other spa rooms were also upgraded.
