It's been awhile since my family stayed in Santa Cruz, and this was our first time staying at the Ocean Pacific Lodge. The hotel was clean and well kept. It's located only a few blocks from the wharf and beach, but it's about six blocks...More
I stayed at the Ocean Pacific Lodge this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I come to Santa Cruz every year during the summer and find this place to be the most comfortable and convenient for the great price that I pay. I was...More
I have a little dog so I had a few hotels to choose from. This one was horrible. I got bit on my ankles by some form of bed bug and the room had cockroaches. The pool hours were not enforced at all and children...More

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
