Stayed here for one night on a drive along the coast. The property is older but well maintained. Rooms are a good size and directv gives better programming that most motels. It's just a block from the beach so it's a great location for a...More
Stayed at the Ocean Pacific Lodge for two nights. It was an ordinary motel but was adequate for a short stay. Were able to bring our dog with us and he was just fine in the room. Great location close to pier. Hotel was quiet...More
Nice location close to everything, plenty of parking and great value for money. Very clean and (surprisingly!!) great shower - really did punch above its weight as far as my expectations. Very close to pier and boardwalk which was good for our 1 night visit...More

Exactly what the title says. I'm not comparing it to The Ritz-Carlton so I'll give it a thumbs up considering it's Santa Cruz and California (which tend to be pricey). But the room was clean, service was great, ***'and *** best of all they enforce...More

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
