Front desk people were very friendly. Checked in and went out and about. It wasn't until later that evening that I went to take a shower and noticed hair in the shower and on the floor in the bathroom. I checked the sheets (I normally...More

We spent 3 nights over labor day weekend at the Ocean Pacific Lodge. Clean and about 2 blocks from the beach. All hotels in Santa Cruz were overpriced on Labor Day weekend so I can't compare the value of the hotel for the price paid....More

Friendly welcome and nice and spacious rooms. Big range of TV channels available. The bathroom could definitely do with a new coat of painting and some new pipes, though. Breakfast was nice and offered many different options, including make-your-own waffles. Sadly I did not have...More

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
