Our room for two was spacious and updated. The refrigerator and microwave are a nice touch. Convenient location to visit family and university. 10 minutes from San Jose airport which makes an easy drive. Full breakfast a nice touch! I will be back again!

We stayed at many Best Western hotels on past trips, so for our last night before flying back to Boston we decided to try this one near the airport.
It's a bit run down, looks like a hotel from the 1960's, but it was very clean, spacious and quiet and offered two queensize beds. However, the mattresses were a bit short for us (we are 5'9" and 5"11 tall). I would suggest to replace the mattresses by longer memory foam mattresses in the future.
The bathroom has been renovated and had fortunately a very low bathtub which made it easy for me to climb in and out to have a shower (I prefer walk-in showers, but not every hotel offers them).
The shower was already warm at 4:30 a.m. which was a big plus (we had an early flight). At a previous Best Western Hotel in the suburbs of New Orleans we stayed for 6 nights and never could get warm water in the shower before 6 a.m.. So this was a big improvement.
There was also a refrigerator and a microwave.
A. c. was functioning well.
The breakfast buffet was very delicious.

The Front Desk, Hospitality and Housekeeping Staff are amazing here! Accomodating and kind, while being extremely efficient. I requested an early check in when I arrived at 10:30 AM and they had me in my room by 11:15 - cleaning the room early to make it happen. Very much appreciate their help.

Overall I enjoyed my time at this hotel. Check in and out was super easy and stress free. The room was very quiet, clean and recently updated. I really like the interior with the dark woods, updated lighting, new appliances, toilets, showers and shower curtain. The bed was firm and different firmness pillows are a plus as I like to try different pillows and not everyone likes the same firmness. I slept the whole night without any disturbance. The rooms are insulated enough to not hear the traffic (on a main road in Santa Clara) or the neighbors next to me.
Minuses: The fridge door open toward the door. It only takes 5 minutes with a screwdriver to change it so the door opens to the room. The cleaning staff made up my room the first full day I was staying which was a big surprise during the COVID era. I did not see a "do not disturb" sign in my room to hang outside . I have stayed in other hotels in 2020 where they specifically let me know they will not enter or interact with the room. I assumed this rule was still in place.

We were having work done on our house and needed somewhere local to stay. This Best Western is very close to our house. We found the staff to be really courteous, helpful, and friendly. Even though we were local to the area, they still made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable and clean. We had a great nights sleep. The room looks like it was recently re-decorated. The grounds have a spanish-style look with the brick and planters. The room was super quiet even though the hotel is located along one of the main streets through our city. There is a great looking pool area but due to the cold weather we were not able to use it. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any family/friends who wantn to stay in this area.

The shower head was not working properly. The defuser to send water up to the shower head would do so many times. I had to hold it to get it to work. The plug next to the A/C had come out of the wall. The plugs for all the lamps were loose, and some of them did not work properly. All other appliances worked properly. The lights over the basin, kept flashing on and off. There was a bulb out on the right side as you were facing the basin.

Overall, this was a nice hotel. It’s in a good area. It’s near restaurants and close to the airport. It was quiet at night. They have a good breakfast (just wish they had regular oatmeal with no sugar, and plain tea rather than herbal teas). The room was clean. The housekeepers did a great job daily. The only issues we had was that the internet was in and out constantly disconnecting, especially in the evenings ( who would have thought in the middle of Silicon Valley!), and the fridge in our room was loud during the night when it ran.

Unfriendly check in that missed requests and left us without a needed ADA compliant bathroom. TIght parking lot. Horrible breakfast. Cleaning could be better and things need fixes around the room, gaps in the bedroom door let some bugs walk in.

You be the judge - bedbug or not a bedbug?
The first image is taken from the internet, the second and third images are from my room at the motel.
The front desk person (who looked at the bug in my room) and the manager (who looked at the pictures) both said that it was not a bedbug.
My pest control company looked at the pictures and said that it was a bedbug.
The staff was unconcerned, checked me out, and charged me for the night. I notified the City Health Department and they took my complaint.
The room was subsequently occupied by another guest that night.

The staff was remarkably kind to help me out, very flexible, friendy and truly supportive. Reliable, trustful room service. Nice rooms, clean and well maintained at absolutely reasonable price. Perfect location for businesstrips as a lot of restaurants & shopping opportunities are right around. Despite the central location the rooms are absolutely quiet. Clean pool as well for a refreshment or some exercises. I enjoyed my stay a lot and will for sure come back.

If you want an inexpensive way to get to the hotel from the airport, get your luggage, go outside and cross to the median to take SF Bay Transit VTA Bus #10 to the Santa Clara Transit Station. But before you get there, tell the bus driver you want to get off at Lafayette and El Camino Real. Get off at that point, cross El Camino Real, and walk west along El Camino Real for about 6 blocks. You will see the sign for the hotel at the northwest corner of El Camino Real and Lincoln Street. There is no charge for the bus ride.
There is no hot tub, only a pool. It was open but not heated during our April stay.
Yes, and besides of leaving stuff in the front desk they receive your mail and packages if needed.
No shuttle, but Uber rates are reasonable to the stadium area. I took Uber back and forth a few times during the week and it ranged from $ 8-14 depending on time of day.
