Detailed Reviews
We loved our room and it was very comfortable. They charge for overnight parking but you can park in the street right outside for free. I didn't like the soap they use in the restroom because it feels oily even after trying to rinse it off. The one thing that was annoying was the entry door to the hallway where the rooms where located, you had to go through a door which was odd compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The complimentary morning coffee was pretty good but Starbucks is right across the parking lot if you are a coffee snob like me.

This is newer hotel pretty convenient location to SJ Airport and nearby attractions. Just like share a review after my 7 night stay as Marriott elite status member.
Pros: (1) newer room with pretty good space (2) breakfast coffee is good and egg bites. They also had some fruit, yogurt, bagel, and cereal. Not sure if any made to order was available as the person did not quite understand English when asked.
Cons:(1) thin walls - can hear sound of kids walking and stomping from room above and "whelping /moaning sounds" from next door. (2) $15 overnight parking fee (3) requested additional amenity but only received 1 toothbrush, 1 packet of toothpaste, 2 bottle of lotion , and 0 cotton swab. (4) waste bin in room did not have any bag or liners
Overall decent stay in newer room, but seems to be some cost savings due to pandemic.

This hotel is brand new, beautifully designed, has friendly staff and good amenities, however from the perspective of a good night’s sleep, it leaves much to be desired.
The hotel is located right under the take off path for SJC airport, right next to the heavily trafficked San Tomas Expressway, as well as near the train tracks. Even with the windows sealed shut, the noise is very audible day and night.
If you must stay here, definitely opt for a room facing Wyatt Drive (away from the pool) — this eliminates noise from the expressway.

Hotel's Favourite
I think the hotel is great and have great rooms. The hotel on Santa Clara is brand new with large rooms and nice beds. The lobby area has a bar, computers and big screen tv for gatherings or meetings. It located right by 101 and Montague expressway. Moreover is a pool if you like swimming.

To start with, I'll vent about the most expensive EV charger I have ever experienced. And I've been driving electric for almost four years now ... They have ChargePoint Level 2 charging stations in front of the hotel. Normally in the SJC area these charge you $0.2-0.3 per 1 kWh. The ones in front of the Element hotel charge you $0.9 per 1kWh or so. And this is on top of $15 that I had to pay for parking in their parking lot overnight. This will not bankrupt me, of course, but it sure leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes it less likely that I will ever return to this location or use the Element branded hotels.
The room was nice but pretty small. We stayed recently in the Corporate Inn (near Apple HQ) for less than here and the rooms at Corporate Inn were about twice as big as here. For some reason, there is a box of circuit breakers in the room. One of the breakers just popped off out of the blue in the evening when we were watching TV. I have no idea why it happened because we were not doing at this point anything that would put a significant load on the electrical circuit in the room. We were not using the microwave or any of the kitchenette appliances. So, it just startled us and, frankly, made us feel unsure about the safety of their electrical systems. The shower is built so that you cannot adjust the temperature of the water before getting under the water stream. It is pretty annoying to have to endure cold water for a while in a place that looks like it was recently built and they could have used a better design for the shower. The surroundings are very industrial, it's basically a corporate park around you with very limited options for getting anything to drink or eat nearby. We drove to San Jose downtown for food.
Some good things about the place are in this paragraph. The rooms are modern and clean. The kitchenette is well equipped and their coffee was surprisingly good (the coffee we made in the room). They have black-out shades on the windows which makes it easy to sleep in the morning. They had a decent breakfast downstairs, which is a rarity now during COVID times.
Overall, this place was not bad but it was less than we expected to experience. I could have certainly found a cheaper place located more centrally than this one with comparable, if not better, quality. Perhaps they just think they can charge more than similar properties because of the Westin/Marriot branding.

We chose the Element hotel because it looked nice and was a pretty new hotel. We stayed with another family for a weekend get away before the kids started school. I had called ahead of time that morning to check in by 4PM. I called them while I was on my way there and asked them to have our room ready. When I arrived, the hotel was extremely busy with a lot of guests! I was a little bit surprised at how busy they were and the front desk said they are low on staff and they have sold out their rooms. My friend who was trying to check in had a less pleasant experience. The front desk girl originally said she didn't have an ETA when her room would be ready and it was after 4:30PM when they promised rooms would be ready. I also witnessed another guest crying when talking to the front desk because they made them wait until 8PM for checkin and she had kids with her. It was extremely horrible. The front desk staff was not friendly or professional at all. Katelyn was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked if we could check out at 1PM the next day. She did not even apologize to me when I said my stay was less than pleasant and I said I would write a review and also feedback to the hotel so they know how awful my stay was. When I asked her for her name, she said it sarcastically, rolled her eyes again and shrugged her shoulders. At night, we heard running in the hallways and a loud banging knock at our door that shook our room at 11PM. Our kids were scared and when we checked the door, no one was around. Overall the stay was a 2 star because we gave them some credit for their clean and nicely designed rooms but their staff were less than professional, helpful and approachable. We will not ever come back to that hotel again.

My stay at the Element Santa Clara left much to be desired. While the hotel itself is beautiful, the thin walls offer no privacy, allowing conversations from neighboring rooms to be easily heard. Additionally, the housekeeping staff only knocked twice before entering, even catching me in the shower once. To make matters worse, I was unjustly charged $300 for allegedly smoking in the room, despite never doing so. What's more, they charged me while I was en route back to my country, without any prior notification, leaving me feeling deceived and scammed. As a loyal Marriott customer, I am thoroughly disappointed by this experience and will be reconsidering future stays at Element Santa Clara.

This is a new and very clean hotel. It could be better if they had designed and furnished with the full demographic of customers in mind. There is no full length mirror. There is no magnifying mirror. The desk chair is not adjustable and at 5’6, it is much too high for me to be comfortable while working. The location however is great if you’re flying in and out of San Jose’s airport or have a kid at Santa Clara University, both of which I occasioned our stay.

We’ve begun staying at The Element hotels, which appear to be a more updated and modernized version of Marriott’s other brand The Residence Inn. The Element in Santa Clara is a pleasant surprise with a couple of eating places and Starbucks nearby in the same complex. Our room has a full refrigerator with freezer and ice-cube maker. The hotel is pet friendly, and there’s a swimming pool and spa on the grounds. The front desk employees are friendly and inviting, and the lounge area is lively in the evenings for Happy Hour. There’s a pay laundry center and free, healthy-trending breakfast We come to the San Jose/Santa Clara area often, and this will become one of regular overnight spots.

+1
Wheelchair-accessible room with two queen beds and a bathtub (room 142) was set up very well. I could get around easily in the room and the bathroom.
Pros:
-comfortable bed
-couch with small table
-blackout shades
-kitchenette
-shower bench that you can attach to the side of the bathtub if needed
-free breakfast (didn't check this out myself)
-helpful and friendly front desk staff
-good soundproofing in regard to highway traffic
-location is close to Santa Clara University, restaurants, and Whole Foods
-I really liked the bar soap in the room.
-pool
-laundry area
Cons:
-noise from people partying and repeatedly letting the door slam shut across the hallway (fortunately, this died down around 10:30-11:00pm)
-noise from airplanes (oddly, it started a little after 6:00am on Monday and continued consistently until I left around 8:30am, but I didn't hear planes on Tuesday morning) I had to wake up early anyway, but if I had planned to sleep later this would not have been possible because it was so loud.
-sharp knives but no cutting board
-paid parking
I would only plan to stay here again if I was planning to wake up early due to concerns about airplane noise.
