Pros: Spotless clean rooms. Nice mattress and flat screen tv. Can park right at your front door most of the time. Management was very pleasant and easy to work with. Room is nicely decorated and maximum use is made of every inch. Modernized and redecorated. Price is right! Great location near places to walk to eat and bar where 'locals'...

Trip Advisor reviews were helpful in finding this convenient budget motel with bright, 'hip' furniture, and generous sized room for my husband daughter and myself. We didn't use the cooking facilities but everything was very clean and I loved the mountain view from our windows. The very friendly Receptionist's tip about the Indonesian inspired restaurant further down State St run...

Let's face it: Santa Barbara is ridiculously expensive. It's hard to find any kind of a "deal" on State Street, and I was pretty discouraged by the prices. However, Agave Inn boasted decent rates, and the reviews were wonderful. I hate to use a tacky phrase like "bang for your buck", but seriously. This place has it. First off, the...

I like a good deal, and this was it!, what a cute place, small cozy, but very basic, but that is just what the doctor ordered. we spent all our time out of the motel, down at the beach, marina, so no need for any 5 star places. But in allot of ways this hotel was a 5 star. It...

This is a cute but basic motel. It kind of has a boutique hotel feel and design. The price was great compared to other places in Santa Barbara, possibly since it's located outside of downtown and away from the water. However there are quite a few restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the motel. Bed was comfortable, free...

We loved the simple but colorful south of the border decor in our spacious, quiet 2nd floor room, which included a kitchenette well stocked with cookware & tableware. The bathroom is small but the sink deep and the shower large. All very clean and new. Multiple large windows with trees, brilliant hibiscus (?), and mountain views, and we felt very...

Our family stayed at the Agave Inn for one night in June. We were there for UCSB graduation. The rates were sky high everywhere that weekend, so I would not recommend anyone visit at that time unless they have to. Other than that, we were very pleased with Agave Inn. Our room was nicely decorated with a south of the...

Certainly the best motel we stayed at during our trip in the USA. Wefelt more like in a French 'chambre d'hôte' than in a motel! If you're looking after a cosy and payable motel near Santa Barbara: don't miss this one!

We stayed at the Agave Inn in Santa Barbara on our way from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The room rate was cheap, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. The property also supplied bathroom amenities, parking outside your door and a small breakfast selection. There’s a few restaurants within walking distance and a few more within a 10 minute...
