We were only in Santa Barbara for one night, but we have stayed in the area many, many times, and the location is good. Very close to the beach, Harbor, and Sterns Wharf. State Street and Funk Zone are within relatively easy walking distance) is pretty good.

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We have been coming to the Inn for close to 20 years. It is nice to see many of the same staff year after year. The rooms are always clean and love the cookies in the afternoon.

After having been here many times over the last 20 years, we once again enjoyed our time at this very pleasant place. As usual we found the staff very helpful and efficient. The location is ideal: close to the wharf and beaches, near State Street and many restaurants, all within walking distance. Was even able to walk to and from...

Visiting my niece who attends UCSB. The room i stayed in very clean, staff friendly, and helpful. Close to the beach, Downtown and UCSB. They have hot tea or cider to wind down to, in the lobby.. Quite area and comfy beds. Definitely recommend and looking forward to staying there again.!

I have come to the Franciscan Inn for many years for both business and leisure. The staff from management, front desk, grounds keeper and maids have always been amazing. Great location, beautiful grounds and lovely rooms. I always suggest to everyone that wants to stay in SB.to go to the Franciscan.

It is very clean, the staff is most accommodating, close to the harbor and downtown and well as being close to restaurants, etc. Since Santa Barbara is not exactly the least expensive city to stay in I also believe...

The Franciscan Inn is great place to stay in Santa Barbara. Its fairly close to both the beach and downtown, with plenty of easily accessible parking...which is important during the summer/fall months.

“Bedroom in suites has a VERY inconvient dresser. I can't see in the top drawer or on the top, which limits space to put personal items. Also bathroom could use a place to put clothing, etc. when taking a shower. This has just been a problem the last few years, but it sure is an inconvience.”

“The right faucet in the bathroom sink needs replacement. It can accidentally waste a lot of fresh cold water. Your facilities technician tried to fix it with an adjustment but the fix didn't work.”
