Make sure you understand everything about the room you're reserving. My room was awful...uncomfortable, inconvenient and noisy. The price paid for the intolerable room I was in was exorbitant and way out of line compared to other properties in the area.

This is a fabulous iconic hotel that was designed by Charlie Chaplin. The facility is very well kept, the staff is exceptional. You can walk to most places you would want to go in Montecito. There are bikes to borrow to go for a cruise. Because it is old and authentic the rooms are small in comparison to the current...

We stayed here many times but this time stayed in one of the remodeled rooms in the wing to the left of the entrance. There were new, tasteful furnishings but no improvements in the bathrooms where it really showed how old and antiquated it was. It was also dark with no windows that opened.

Cute older hotel closer to water than downtown hotels. Clean. Nicely appointed rooms. Pool and jacuzzi small but nice. Will be nice when restaurants are finished but there are plenty of great restaurants in walking distance. Staff was great.

While searching for a destination in Santa Barbara, we found the Montecito Inn. A Charlie Chaplin designed and built resort, this Hollywood vintage resort provides charm and elegance while offering modern conveniences. Set in the foothills, you will find a lovely and tranquil spot to relax. We will return and spend more time here!

The breakfast is included is a nice touch but do not represents as in "breakfast is included" means full breakfast, it's only continental not even so because even holiday inn...

We stay at the Montecito Inn every time we visit friends in Santa Barbara. The rooms are comfortable, they provide coffee 24 hrs, and in the morning they provide muffins, fruit, juice and power bars. Montecito Inn is close walking to many cute little restaurants and they provide valet parking.

Rooms are on the smaller side but the atmosphere makes up for it; quaint original details and gorgeous architecture complete the view. Walkable to Montecito but a little farther from Santa Barbara. The breakfast was pretty scant and I wish the restaurant was open (its under renovation) for the full effect.
