First stay here, had the first 2 tent sites. Furthest from bathrooms but not too far if a walk. Nice bathrooms with some private ones and big (free) showers. Nice pool and store centrally located. We had a good time and kids had a blast in the open spaces, pool, playground, riding scooters.

We camped here specifically because I was told on 3 occasions that we could take our dogs to the El Capitan Beach within walking distance. It is not within normal walking distance if you want to spend the day at the beach with chairs and a cooler. Dogs are not allowed on the beach what so ever. When I inquired...

We have camped our whole lives in tents and backpacked too. We recently bought an RV and have been traveling around California and Oregon, both in private parks and in national and State Parks. This is the worst we have been in and they charged $90 a night with a mandatory three day reservation. The noise from 101 goes on...

I just returned from a Glamping Event at El Capitan Ocean Mesa! I have stayed at the Canyons before but this was first time on the Ocean Mesa side and the first time holding a private event on the property. I am happy to report everything was wonderful. Being in the event business and having to rely on the venues...

We arrived at sunset and the staff was nice, got checked in and went to camp. No Wifi at camp. Was told the trees block it. We went to the pool/ hot tub at 9 and there were still kids playing ( 9-10 is supposed to be adult time) so no night swimming. You can hear the highway from you...

Site was quiet when we were there - maybe only 10% full as early season. So we virtually had the shower blocks and swimming pool to ourselves. Lovely clean site and spacious pitches. All have natural borders for a little privacy. Walking distance to lower campground and a small cafe/ shop. Free bike hire. Slight noise from the 101. About...

So, I just returned home today after spending the last 3 at Ocean Mesa. I had read the below reviews prior to going and I will admit, I was a bit apprehensive based on some of the negative comments. A few of my thoughts on the kid comments: I have 3 of them, an 18 year old daughter who will...

Absolutely awesome camping weekend. Our family is use to State Park camping but the Ocean Mesa spoiled us. We had a tent site but we hung out most in my brother-in-laws fabulous RV site. My only complaint about the tent site is lack of "private" space and you can't park right next to all the sites. I think it will...

SEVERAL THINGS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE - For those camping on tents, the campsites are so close together that you have to go to other people's campsite to get to yours. It is a joke. The noise level is so terrible that campers cannot hear each other talk! The place is so unregulated. For RV people - For $90 per...

Upon arriving, and checking in at the Market, the staff was very nice, and helpful. The campground is kept very clean, and tidy. We always saw their employees cleaning, and maintaining the campground. As soon as one family left, we saw the maintenance guys cleaning and sprucing up those empty spaces. Quiet time was from 10PM-9AM, and we got just...
