Attempted to stay here new years weekend. The manager (first his name was Miguel, then later said his name was Paul) checked us in to our room. At first glance it was a nice room. King bed, fireplace, etc. Had a balcony and you could see the ocean off in a distance. We noticed the floor was dirty, weren't TOO...

We had two rooms for one night in winter. Both rooms were exact what you can expect for the investment. Extras are the television, fridge, coffeemachine and coffee and a magnetron. I had my doubts with the gas heater (CO), but it was in good shape. In many motels one of the room is re-arranged for the breakfast. Here you...

Dirty, expensive. Rude check in person... We often stay in "mom & pop" type places, so are used to older facilities without lots of amenities. This place was grimy from lobby to pool to room. The photo on web site was misleading- torn dirty carpet. finger prints all over bed & cabinet. Got a negative vibe the minute we walked...

This place is atrocious for $200+ or even $50. The bathroom is disgusting. Tub has mold, cracked, and rusted. You have to crack open the window for circulation. The faucet dripped. We had to call the front desk since neither the tv nor telephone worked. The carpet was disgusting and was not vacuumed. I felt icky. SKIP IT!

Clean, neat and recently painted. Good price. Walls are thin, can here snoring, showers from other rooms. Parking is convenient. Water pressure is terrible in the shower. Fast check in procedure. On line didn't see it was a AAA motel. Unable to Use my AAA card because I had already booked the room on line.

Our room was nice and was clean. Single bed, room was small with a nice bath. The room was recently updated and 1 wing was under construction when we stopped. We didn't hear construction but could hear the waves across the street and the maids in the am. Our view was of the courtyard which was ok for us to...

This is the second time I've stayed at the property in last six years. Employees are friendly. The rooms were recently remodeled and look great! If you're looking for a clean hotel near Hearst Castle that is family, couple and dog friendly I recommend you stay here.

Loved the room. It was clean and comfortable. Nice picture window take allows a view of the ocean, even though the ocean is on the other side of the highway. With the window open at night you can hear the waves break. So relaxing. Great restaurant, prices reasonable for motel and restaurant! Close to the castle and Cambria down the...

Good value, but hard beds and could have been a little cleaner. Nice recent remodel with fresh paint and crown molding but tubs was a little dingy and no fan in the bathroom. Wanted to use pool but it had black stuff on the bottom and spa only held 3 people.

“If I didn't have a dog, I'd opt for an upstairs room to eliminate overhead foot noise - seemed to travel more than next door noise. Fortunately, it's an early to bed kind of place. Other than that the rooms and area were quite quiet.”
