As this place is on a promontory on the Big Sur coast, the views are gorgeous and go for miles in both directions. The resort itself is very comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. From what we saw, all the rooms are nice and large, most with a fireplace and ocean views. I definitely plan to come here again! We...

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at Ragged Point in a cliffside room! What a view! It doesn't get any better. The room itself was large, clean and well-decorated. It featured floor to ceiling windows for an extra beautiful view. The hotel grounds are spacious, featuring well-tended gardens and a huge lawn area. The restaurant also offers a...

We'd been to Ragged Point many times on day trips and I've always wanted to spend a night or two there, so when a Groupon opportunity appeared, we were delighted to make a reservation for two nights. Our room (#5) is a King Deluxe room on the second floor, right next to the cliff, and has a fabulous view of...

Mudslide at the north end of Big Sur-Mudslide just above ragged point. We couldn't get through the park and had to go four hours out of our way to drive back north, east, then south and north again to get to the resort in the middle of the night but they were waiting when we got there. When I woke...

This hotel is in an incredible spot, magnificent views of the ocean and cliffs. The Resort is lovely and well in keeping with the area with manicured gardens and the buildings made of wood. We loved it. The check in staff member was not very welcoming however, and the restaurant staff were disorganised, forgetful and disinterested in us, and in...

The room was very nice and well equipped. But it had the most amazing view out the windows of the room and off the deck. Look out the window, still in bed and see the coastline going south. From the deck you could watch the gorgeous sunset.

We stayed at Ragged Point for one night, if we had not had reservations in San Francisco we would have booked a second night. Location was amazing it truly sits on a Ragged Point facing the Pacific. This was the last hotel as you head north into Big Sur that was still open, the next 100 miles of Rt 1...

The rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained, and there was an excellent view of the coast from our room. Not all rooms have a view, so if that is important to you, be sure to call. The grounds overall are nice. There is no swimming pool, which was a disappointment. We had a Keurig in our room and made...

We found a coupon in the local Sun newspaper for a Getaway Retreat. The getaway included a one night stay in cliff side room, first floor, dinner voucher for $50, and two breakfast entrees for $179 plus tax. We made the reservations and the front desk was very helpful. We got in early Friday afternoon and our room was ready....

Couldn't call out to office, and had to walk up to office to complain! The young girl was rude, and said someone would come and fix it....nothing...had to go up again,since...
