Nice hotel but one night was plenty. My husband had work and there was no good shopping for me to walk to. We checked out and now staying at Courtyard in Monterey Park. Soo glad we made the move. Love the surrounding location much better. Lounge was open but with minimal breakfast only. So we went into restaurant to eat and we were the only ones in there. Good breakfast. We ate at Beijing house across the street which was delicious. We also walked through Hawaii grocery store. Check out the fresh fish sections. Wow. All kinds of fish. Even turtle. Oh my. Parking was easy and convenient in garage below hotel.

My family stayed at this Sheraton during our vacation in May. We were supposed to drop off our luggage at hotel, then go to a restaurant my wife loves for dinner. The stated check in time is 3pm. We arrived at the hotel around 2:30pm, hoping to check in early. However, we were told that the previous day guest has elite status and they are checking out late. The room should be ready around 4pm. Hotel offered free parking as compensation. My dinner reservation was at 5pm, so I thought 4pm check it was ok. But, at 4pm, hotel tells me that the elite status allowed the previous day guest to stay until 4pm and they are cleaning the room now. We didn't get into our room until 5pm, which means we missed our dinner reservation. I was really angry as we were about to miss the first dinner reservation of our trip. The manager just said it's hotel policy and nothing else they can do. He also hinted that the free parking was good compensation for us already. I don't give a XXXX about the free parking. I only took it because they offer nothing else to compensate me. I read up on Marriot policy. Late check out should only be available base on availability. Why did this hotel allow it when they know the room is booked for next day? Too bad, I don't have at least silver elite status, or else I will force them to honor their ultimate reservation guarantee (which says they will pay for the hotel nearby and compensate for inconvenience if room is somehow unavailable). I would not ever book this hotel again, unless I have Silver status. Such a bad experience to start our vacation!

Ray, we are extremely grateful you took this opportunity to share your experience. I am disappointed you endured this and that we marred your overall stay with this unfortunate first impression. Delaying your check-in is unacceptable and we sincerely apologize. Clearly, there was an error on our end. We never want this to cause our guests any inconvenience as we try to reach an acceptable resolution. I will discuss this further internally to ensure we handle such situations more appropriately in the future. As we continuously are improving, I am confident we can restore your trust if given one more chance.

In general we like the Sheraton San Gabriel. But the experience for the Check In was not as expected in a hotel in this category. At the Advertised Check In time on the app, we where at the hotel - but they told us, that the room is not jet ready. After one Hour we came back and checked in (Had to wait 30 minutes on the reception again). We got a room which is not match the booked class (Mountain View) - the room we got was to the inner yard and the bedroom did had no window at all. Went to the reception again (another 30 minutes to wait) we finally got a room that matches our booking and was clean. But this time the do not enabled the club access on the account (which was booked) - I don't went to reception again and did not waist more time there. I total we spent 1,5 hours just on the reception and waiting which is not acceptable.

I will admit that I did not have high expectations for this hotel however the hotel exceeded my expectations. It is a newer hotel, very updated, modern and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. If I have any negatives, I would make two comments, first only two of the three elevators appeared to be working while I was there. Not a huge deal but in a hotel this size they need all three elevators. Secondly, parking was an issue one day because they had some sort of conference or large meeting so it was really difficult to find a parking place in the morning. Otherwise I would highly recommend this property.

4/29/2022 - This is a category 5 hotel opened in 2019 under the Marriott rating system, but I found the guest room is better than a newly remodel guest room at Marina del Rey Marriott, CA, which is a category 6 hotel I toured in 03/2022. The beds quality and well-designed soft lighting around bedboard and TV make you feel so relax and comfortable. Each door in the guest room let you feel a "luxury" staying at either a category 6 or 7 hotel. I sincerely wish this hotel would have a hot spa (whirlpool), which can attract more travellers during a winter time. It has a nice Sheraton Club Lounge in appearance with comfort seatings and arrogant tables, including a closed-door conference room, overlooking a beautiful green Courtyard with a swimming pool. The Club Lounge has been open since 06/04/2021 during the pandemic, with Club Lounge Continental Breakfast only, meaning Happy Hour is gone right after the pandemic began. In contract, the M Club in most Marriott hotels are still either closed or in a limited access stage. For example, at present, JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live has not yet reopened its Executive Lounge since the pandemic began in order to save the operation cost. Without the Lounge access, I will not visit there by knowing I will see many homeless people upon arriving there. It is worth mentioning that most Asian nations as well as Australia not only opened its M Club or Executive Lounge in 2021, but also have been providing far better veriety of foods, wines and liquors, as shown in one uploaded picture taken on 2/22/2022. However, it is not the Marriott Corporation's fault, but our nation's high labor and foods costs. If you like a tasting menu, this is a hotel you need to go because a high-end fine dining fancy restaurant called Omaniku provides two omakase: Beef Tasting Course and Seafood Tasting Course. The signature seared truffle scallop is super, and its truffle butter sauce was developed for two years for its perfection. Because of the hotel quality, the fine dining fancy restaurant and bar as well as more than 30 different Chinese variety of restaurants across the streets, if you can drive within 5 miles radius around the hotels, you will find nearly 200 restaurants, I rate the hotel as a 5 star. Last but not least, thank Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel for being one of the few hotels in the nation the first to resume the Club Lounge access for Marriott Elite members during the pandemic. A variety of sliced fresh fruits quality is outstanding.

What a great little spring break get away with the fam bam at Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel Hotel. We came to come and meet in person the legendary Salvadoran chef Carlos Bojorquez Interiano. Let me tell you if you ever come to this hotel you need to have breakfast at chef’s restaurant by the lobby, Delicious. We are extremely grateful with the chef’s hospitality. Bartender Xavier is super friendly. (Too bad they don't have draft beer) The entire staff made us feel at home. Highly recommended hotel to visit with the family.

Being a titanium guest meant nothing here! Rooms need a update, no windows, very stuffy. Unfortunately a dance troop was staying the weekend we were there and they pretty much took over the hotel, since there was no parent supervision! Woken up at 6:45 AM with girls screaming at the top of there lungs in the hallways!! I was at the front desk at 6::55AM questioning the screaming! The common area on the 6th floor was trashed with empty pizza boxes, candy wrappers, juice boxes, etc. This actually was left over night onto the next day!! The lounge was TRASHED at 7:07AM, (It opened up at 7:00AM) when I entered the staff was mopping the floor and sweeping up food!! The lounge had been open for 7 minutes!! Luggage was left blocking the entrance to the lounge. I felt sorry for Mark & Ling, being bossed around!! On Saturday night upon arrival back to the hotel the dance troupe were holding practice in the LOBBY!! Very unprofessional, I mean full on practice! Basically blocking the entrance to the hotel. There were two handicap spots, upon arrival on Saturday night there were four cars squeezed in the two spots with NO HANDICAP placards!! When we asked the valet about it SHE told us there were more spots underground! So since we had the handicap sign we had to walk further!! Do not plan on breakfast in the lounge, it’s very limited. Mark &Ling tried there hardest to accommodate guests. This hotel does not seem like a Sheraton, lots of improvements need to be addressed. We travel 6 months out of the year and unfortunately we do not plan on returning to this hotel.

Cold showers on the 5th floor at peek times is known by the staff, but not the guests. After reporting the issue, they knew about it and offered to send maintenance but I did not have time to wait. A comp’d breakfast or upgrade next stay would be lovely. But I receive 1 email and in that message was nothing of substance. Just happy I checked out and they ticked the box that they followed up.

A very regular guest at this property since 2020 and staying here at least 2-3 times a month since the last quarter of 2021. How often does it happen for a Titanium elite to get upgraded upon app check-in only to get downgraded at the front desk? The downgrade was also a room close to the elevator, ice machine, and on top of that a connecting room.

The property couldn’t be more comfortable - in a local neighborhood brimming with int’l authenticity and easy access to the 110 freeway. The staff - you won’t find friendlier. Big thanks to Ivonne, who made us feel welcome before we even arrived. Mark (& daughter) and Ling in Sheraton Club all provided an extraordinary level of service and courtesy. THANK YOU! Next time we’re in LA/Pasadena area, we’ll be back! 😊
