Let me first state that I am a Hilton Honors Member but I find that when visiting Norcal, Hilton Hotels are a little to high on themselves as far as costs. To fix this, I have stayed several times at the Hotel San Carlos and found that the Hotel is nice, clean, great proximity to SFO and The City, along...

Like the other reviews. I pulled up and told my husband nope not going to stay here. But like I always do I asked to see room . The owner showed us a room downstairs we were impressed he said that this wasn't the room we would get , so when we got the key to our room we were...

Hotel San Carlos has good sized, comfortable rooms with lots of outlets and storage space. It's very clean and nicely decorated. They have a basic breakfast in the mornings: hard boiled eggs, waffles, toast, pastries. Located just a 15 minute walk/5 minute drive from the very cute San Carlos town center. Convenient to both Palo Alto and San Francisco. The...

This is a great place to stay in the San Mateo area. It's clean friendly and quiet. The gentleman at the front desk was more than helpful when I left my wallet upon check out. I called in a panic and right away he checked the room for me, retrieved my wallet and held it safe for me at the...

This hotel is clean and appropriately appointed. The hotel is old and as a old hotel there is not adequate sound proofing. The hotel is suitably located and easy to get to and from. I do think the price is expensive. I would think the price should be about 30% less than they charge.

So when you pull up to this place, it's pretty deceiving. At first glance you might think they rent rooms by the hour here, but this was really a great place! It's obvious they've done some renovating and the rooms are quite comfy and very clean. Many of the things that are important to me in a hotel are found...

Nice, quiet, little find with quiet rooms, soft beds and great staff. I really can't find fault with it considering the price, breakfast isn't spectacular but they've got cereal, toast, pastries and a waffle maker. The staff were useful and a pleasure to be around.

Thank Sam M
