we wanted to stay close to the airport and this was 10 minutes to airport check-in by shuttle. the hotel has covered parking next to the lobby and the room was clean, comfortable and newly painted. We stayed 2 nights. The desk staff were cheerful and helpful and directed us to BART - 5 minutes away and local restaurants -...

I chose this hotel based on its location and reviews. I needed a place to stay during an overnight layover between flights. The first warning I had that I would be less than satisfied was when, after waiting 40 minutes for the shuttle, I learned that I had to call the hotel FIRST before the airport shuttle would pick me...

With a free shuttle to SFO, its location close to the airport, plus cleanliness and great low price, I rated this hotel 'very good'. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and hotel quiet. Flat screen TV and free internet worked well. Coffee service was very simple - a small pot, and a few packets of non-dairy creamer,...

I reserved a room for 2 nights. On the first night, my sleep was frequently interrupted by the noisy take off of the air plane every few minutes, the noisy neighbors (behind the hotel is a residential area) and the smell of marijuana smoke from the neighborhood and the people checking in late and making loud noises next to my...

When visiting our son who lives in San Francisco, we stay downtown unless a convention drives prices too high. Then we choice a place closer to the airport. Gateway Inn got our business this time and probably will again. The Gateway Inn had relatively large rooms with good bed, desk and easy chair. Front desk is friendly and helpful. The...

Staff was helpful, and friendly. My room was mind blowing, it was beautiful spacious and totally relaxing. When not working, I was locked away in heaven. I was especially pleased that there was a shuttle to and from the airport.

The room was actually a very nice king room. The furnishings were modern, had a nice bay window with side windows that opened a bit for fresh air, though the view was of the busy street. The room was quite large and included a microwave and a refrigerator. Overall, the room was attractive and clean. The only disappointment was the...

Let me be clear: there's nothing drastically amiss with the Gateway, nor, on the other hand, is there a single thing to recommend it. I didn't hate the place; I just disliked it from the get-go. Maybe it was the lukewarm chappie at reception with the black tie and the green smoothie, whose first words weren't "Good evening, sir" or...

We flew into San Fran from the other side of the US with our young children, including a baby. Since we were landing late, we decided to stay at this hotel near the airport. We weren't expecting anything fancy - we just needed a room so we could go straight there and sleep. We booked the room (2x double/queen beds)...
