On a mission we only stayed one night in Salinas. The property is well located to get to town, easy access to the coast beyond. Our room was very nice, good amenities, great pillows, good towels. Not the newest but well kept.
Great accomodations, helpful staff. Will stay there again. Quiet, great indoor pool. Location good. Breakfast was good for a motel meal. Staff provided me with a tube of toothpaste that I had forgotten.
This hotel feels a bit old and is apparently going through some renovations. The hotel room was clean and of a decent size. The bed is alright. I like that they provide soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was the problem - they have multi-use shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, however, the shampoo and conditioner in my room was empty. I would think the staff would check this when they clean up after a previous customer. They provide a simple self-serve breakfast, which is convenient.
The only redeeming part of the stay was the sheets and bed. They were comfortable. The hotel was dated & it needs a refresh. But the biggest issue is the location. It did not feel safe. There was lots of sketchy people roaming the street. Multi family complexes directly across the street (which led to lots of traffic and noise). Would not stay again.
Either crooks or incompetent. My company booked me into the property for 6 days. They paid with a company card through a travel service. I get there and provide my personal credit card for incidentals. The lady runs it and hands me a receipt for $900. She did not see that another card had already been used. After calling my boss she refunded the money. Today I was ordered to another region by my company and checked out of the hotel. I received a zero-balance receipt. Later, my personal card was charged another $339. Alex told me via phone that the woman who checked me out charged the wrong card. I asked to speak to the manager He told me he would have the manager call me immediately.
Dark rooms uninviting decor. Gym equipment broken and barely functioning. Rushed and unfriendly reception. Was it the summer heat or that the hotel is fully booked (what? Must be slim pickings) Next time I'm here, I'll be sure to look elsewhere.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel my grandkids love that outdoor pool house I myself also love the jacuzzi very relaxing location. The king-size Suite is enormous is like a one-bedroom apartment I stayed in the 2-bedroom Suite also really cute I recommend the suites
Thank you for always keeping our room clean and smelling great. Always smiling and respectful happy to have her as a housekeeper....... Thank you sooooooo much for everything. People don't realize the basics help but she always goes beyond.
We stayed here on a weekend visit of this area and planned to drive down the PCH over the next few days. This hotel is in a super sketchy area. I thought it seemed familiar—then I remembered, it is the latest city added to Live PD. Anyway, this hotel is with a group of other hotels, and is the best out of the group. It is easily accessible. The parking lot seemed sketchy too, but they say they have security patrolling through the night. The entry is nice and updated. Check in was easy. The room seemed fine. The bedding was clean and updated. I would say everything was just a touch below the standard IHG/HIE level. The only thing that totally grossed us out was the mold covering the shower. We did mention it on check-out. The breakfast was fine. Again, we love HIE because you know what you are getting. Again, I would say this was just a notch below standard. Check out was easy. We would probably choose elsewhere if we came this way again. And by elsewhere, I mean the entire area. The hotel was great...for the area. …
This is a tough part of town, but around the other hotels. It’s pretty standard HIE, clean and reliable. It’s has been updated, and I was upgraded. My only real complaint is I arrived around 9pm. I went to use the gym at 10pm, to be told they lock it at night until the morning. The clerk laughed that only 8 rooms were occupied, yet I wasn’t allowed to utilize the gym for fear of kids in there.
