Arrival: Arrived to a warm welcome from Kim, the afternoon host, who explained everything clearly. There are actually two Inns. Amber House is the main Inn, the brown building you will notice from the advertised photographs. We stayed in a building just across the street, which is yellow and has two floors with two rooms on ground and three on...

Second time here. Don't remember breakfast choices last time but this time it was granola, oatmeal, and waffles. I don't eat grains so had to pass on breakfast at a bed and breakfast. Having said that, the inn is nicely decorated and I like having a tray with coffee waiting outside my room when I wake up. Both rooms we...

Hello TaxLass, Thank you for returning to Amber House and for the kind words, we love when we have return visitors. I would like to address your concerns. I believe there may have been some confusion or miss-communication. Waffles is definitely one of our main dishes, but the Oatmeal and or homemade granola are simply lighter alternatives to the main...

I was there for just one night. I would really enjoy this place with my wife or my family. For business trip, not so much. Not sure why, it just didn't feel right. Not to the place's fault. Friendly service and clean rooms. I highly recommend this place for leisure trips.

I was in town for a routine business conference but the hosting hotel (Holiday Inn Arena) was full. I was dismayed because I always stay there for conferences as it is so convenient. That was before. Searching around Sac, the Amber House had one room available and it was priced same as the nice business hotels in town. I LOVED...

All around great stay. Breakfast was delicious and if you like served in your room. Stayed in an upstairs room with a view of the tree lined street. Friendly service and super clean rooms. Would recommend this place to a friend.

Amber House is an attractive and well-run B&B with lots of personal attention. Tucked away on a quiet tree-lined residential street in the midtown section of Sacramento, Amber House is in easy walking distance from restaurants and bars and only three blocks from our daughter’s house. It’s actually two houses – Amber House itself, and an equally nice house across...

The Amber House is very well maintained, nice and very clean. My stay here was for business, and the accommodations for business purposes didn't not work very well for me. There was no desk in the room to work on. Wifi and parking were free, the location was nice, and the WordWorth Room was decorated nicely and comfortable. I would...

Hello Melinda, Thank you so much for the kind words, we alway love to hear them!! I would like to address the "desk" issue. In your room as in all rooms we have a table and two chairs. In half of our rooms we have leaf tables which are collapsed for added space. You actually had a table in your...

This was my third stay at Amber House Inn. I was last here about 10 years ago and it hasn't changed much. The biggest difference the neighborhood -- lots more restaurants and shops within walking distance.

My wife and I escaped for a short overnight to eat and play in sac. The Amber house is a very well kept historic building within walking distance to all that mid and downtown has to offer. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and the coffee at our door in the morning! We also enjoyed live theater two blocks away, Temple...
