I wouldn't stay here again. Go to the Sonestra across the street for similar money. I'm Hilton Gold. I wasn't acknowledged as such until I prompted the desk clerk. Certainly no upgrade and no explanation. Upgrade was, 2 bottles of water. Room on first floor looking west at the noisy parking lot for $300/night. Peeling wall paper. Unbearably loud random noises from the anemic air conditioner. Extremely limited food and beverage. Sad lobby and sadder bar. Maid service not done. On inquiry, told only upon request, and I should have read my confirmation in entirety to learn that. Shampoo etc may have been left over from previous guest. There was hardly enough in each bottle for my short hair. Staff was pleasant but obviously hampered by cheap and lousy management or owners. I've started here 5-6 times in the last 10 years, and similar number of stays at the Sonestra (formerly Crowne Plaza) just across the street. That's a far superior property at similar rates. Go there.…
Great location halfway between Hermosa Beach/pier and Redondo Pier. I took a Lyft from LAX and got around on foot and bike. Bikes are available to rent from the hotel - $15 for up to 4 hours or $25 for all day (until sunset). I was in a 3rd floor SNL queen room marina side and you can see a sliver of the water and boats in the slips. Rooms have a sliver of a balcony (big enough to stand in but not big enough for a chair) with a screen. I took the dining chair and sat inside but could put my feet on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and rooms had a desk, small table w/ two chairs, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and robes. Small sundry shop in the lobby with ice cream, snacks, soda, beer, and water. Covid safety precautions taken throughout hotel with available Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. There is no beach across the street (there is a Cheesecake Factory, though!) Redondo Beach (10 min walk) isn’t as nice as Hermosa Beach (13 min walk or a few min by bike). Hermosa has a wide, clean sandy beach with soft sand and lots of facilities including showers, toilets, and volleyball nets. I would definitely choose Hermosa if you want to lay in the sand. This property was rebranded as a Hilton Tapestry hotel a few months ago and I would highly recommend. I look forward to a return trip!…
Staff was great and the accommodations were perfect for a summer business/ vacation. The breakfast was perfect every morning before heading out to a business meeting while the spouse went down to the beach for some sun.
Having stayed here pre-covid there have been a lot of changes. The free breakfast and manager's hour are no longer. However, the breakfast options are delicious and the restaurant staff were great. The pool and hot tub were a horrible green and murky color during our 5 day stay. It was reported to management on day one and was never fixed. For the price of this hotel this is so unacceptable. Rooms were very nice and the location is great! I was still happy with my stay but times have changed in the hotel industry. More money and less service.
Years ago, I stayed at the Redondo Beach Hotel and it was delightful. However, I was concerned that it may have changed as so many things do, and not for the better. To my surprise, we were greeted by a very professional young lady at the desk who mentioned the different choices of rooms. "They will be ready at check-in in about 20 minutes." She asked how I would like to be contacted." We went for a short walk across the street to "King Harbor," my stomping grounds. I was born in Redondo Beach! To my surprise, the "Seawater pool was still there. Built in 1890' I believe, and it was still there amount the huge condos that replaced our little beach cottages that once stood proudly across from the pier. The casual walk turned into reminisces about my neighborhood. Upon returning, we had a tranquil room, a comfy bed, and windows that could open for the ocean breeze. Thank you for the memories and quiet night…
This “Tapesty Collection” used to be a Best Western. I was hoping that the Hilton name would carry the same Hilton standards but it.does.NOT. The hotel and rooms smell musty and the carpets are old. The jacuzzi is cold, murky, and the jet are broken. They messed up our multiple room reservations then came knocking on our door telling us to vacate. After their mistake we were told the hotel is sold out so in order to stay we’d have to move from a Marina view to the standard room they mistakenly gave to another person in our party. BUT, they would not and did not clean the room until we made a fuss about it. They only wanted to give us clean towels because housekeeping leaves at 3:00. On top of everything, there was a false fire alarm. This motel is a mess. Do not stay here. It is not a Hilton. …
Ideally situated hotel within minutes of numerous landmarks (Santa Monica, Hollywood, Malibu, etc...) Hotel is also within walking distance of the Redondo Beach Pier. We found the entire staff to be very friendly and accommodating, particularly Monica at the front desk who went out of her way to assist us on numerous occasions. The hotel is very clean and well kept, although a bit on the dated side but that is consistent with many of the buildings in the area. Also I will caution that there is no coffee available before 7:00am and the dining options are somewhat limited, but the gentleman who operate the desk (Clark, Tyler & Jed) provide superb service. Great stay we'll be back :)
The best thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms were average but the harbor and access to the freeway make this a good home base for exploring the LA areas. It is also pricey for the quality of the accommodations. On the positive side, the front desk representatives were very responsive. They readily responded to our request to change rooms. Also, I left one of my electronic devices in my room after I checked out. I called the hotel, and the staff located the item and sent it to me at home. Shout out to Ryan and Doha.
The hotel smelled of mold. The room was so small I smashed my foot against the hardwood bed platform and hairline fractured several bones. When I informed the front desk, she was disinterested and mechanically said she was sorry about that. The chair in the room was stained. The microwave was on the bottom shelf that was so close to the bed it was impossible to use. The hot tub was full of hot water and green algae stains but the jets were not working and the hotel was aware as the person that came to help me turn it on told me he had told them. The elevators were retrofitted and very small. Coming from Moab HooDoo made this Hilton seem even more disgusting as I had high expectations. I checked in late and there was no one available to help me--I am disabled--despite being told on the phone there would be. I wish I had gone to Santa Monica and stayed in that Hilton instead. I had asked for an adjustment for the hot tub not working and was not given one. It has been a week since I checked out and my foot is still dark purple and causing me pain. I expected more out of Hilton. There was one staff member that was accommodating, but I felt like a stranger out of place as the rest of them could have cared less about assisting me with anything. Unfortunately, this clerk was showing signs of illness but was still working. I felt bad for her, but concerned for myself as I am immunocompromised. That being said, my last night here I could hear a seal barking at the harbor, which was pretty neat.…
The location was very nice near by the harbour and there was a good parking place. Nice surprice that the CheeseCake Factory was so near. The room needs updating and the people working in the reception should be more pollite. We didn´t get the feeling we were welcome.
