We arrived at around 11.00 am but we've been told to come back after 4.00pm but not too late because they could not garantee the room. They accepted to keep our luggages tough. We found the hotel clean in the lobby and the room. However, carpets in the corridors was stained and dirty. The lobby staff is just OK. Nothing really to complain about but no smile at all. You have to ask them everyday to clean the room the next day. Otherwise, they just dont do it. The worst thing was the breakfast: Very limited choice and really not tasty. Plastic plates and cutlery. Not good to start your day. The only good point was one of the ladies working there. Very nice and helpful. Overall, quite disapointed and way too expensive. I know this is summer holidays but still way too much. Will definitely wont come back. …
Wonderful stay! The hotel is in a section with other hotels, with views of the expressway and a storage facility but aside from that downside, it’s located 10-15 min walk away from Von’s grocery store and about 2.5-3 miles from the Manhattan Beach area. The hotel is larger than it appears and was very busy the weekend we stayed. For breakfast hot and cold options were served “to-go”. Hotel was clean, rooms were large and service was of Hilton caliber. One thing to note is the $100/day incidental charge, yes $100/day, which took us by surprise! Regardless we would stay again.
No customer service, they weren’t welcoming, carpets in the hallway were dirty, breakfast was gross, the rooms were dirty, laundry basket in the hallway, the white sheets on both beds had a black marks, the remote control didn’t have batteries, the tv was broken, bathtub had yelled stains, gross all around!!! Outside in the sitting area was surrounded by smokers, isn’t it against the law to have smokers that close to Entrance?,
Given room 255 furthest away from reception which wouldn’t have been a problem if room keys worked. Three trips up and down still couldn’t get in. Sent “engineer “ with what looked like coat hanger to open room. He was supposed to come back and fix it but didn’t. Went back to reception at 1130pm but engineer had gone home. Went to reception again at 630am, no engineer until 730am. Was supposed to be fixed but again not working. Two engineers back now trying to get it fixed, but pointless as checking out. Avoid as the most unhelpful staff I have ever encountered anywhere in the world!!!!
room 225 6/11 - 6/13. room is filthy you will see black dust on your socks or your feet or whatever has the misfortune to touch the floor. also despite repeated request no working smoke alarms. the smoke alarm issue is documented in their log, it is beyond question and it is a clear violation of the law to rent that room. by the way the first night we were there, there was a fire alarm pulled, I believe it was a prank. did anything go off in our room?...no. other comments - attitude from night staff is terrible. beds are hard and uncomfortable. if you want to use the pull out ask for the 'sofa pack' as soon as you can because they dont stock the room and dont care if your kids have to stay up a few hours after a long flight.
We traveled for a Mother's Day trip. The location of the hotel was very universal to alot of things in LA. We made it everywhere within 30 min. The hotel staff was extremely nice and friendly. They also have security. Great stay.
Pile of dirty towels, dishes and pieces of toilet paper and trash in front of our door when arriving. Front desk agents dont seem to happy. The banging and stomping through the stay made it hard to relax or sleep and the cleaning staffs trash bins stay in the same place in the isle through our stay which was 3 days two nights.
Booked last minute literally! Room was spacious, light and clean, and housekeeping immediately provided us with the extra towels and bedding for the sofa bed. However, in the evening it was a bit noisy- the aircon makes a funny noise and we could hear the guests stamping above us. Not enough glasses and mugs provided for 5 people but easy to get hold of more! The happy hour snacks were a nice touch, with beer, pasta etc and it was better than the other Homewood suites we have stayed in! Staff very pleasant and a nice stay overall
My husband and I were in town for a family visit. Checked in at the front desk and was greeted professionally . We had asked for a high floor for our stay with a quiet room. When we got to our floor- there was a horrible cooking smell in the entire hallway. The room looked clean and ok but the smell had permeated the room as well. We were also facing the freeway. Trash filled alleyway below room against the freeway. We were Surrounded by noisy rooms. No way could we stay at this location. The front desk staff was very understanding and offered us another room. Didn’t take them up on it. Moved from property.
Property was amazing! Enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Perfect for my family. Complimentary breakfast hit the spot! Very much enjoyed the stay. Planning another trip to the area. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
