Four of us went to this lovely restaurant during restaurant week. We showed up early for our 7:00 reservation and enjoyed the lively bar scene and the delicious martini(me) and wine ( my husband and other husband). Although it took quite a long time to be seated in the elegant dining room, we all enjoyed the festive atmosphere of this...

A hotel, in my view is a combination of location, facilities and, of course, the people who work there. Rancho Valencia is that rare place that excels in each category. I came for a solo week of tennis, relaxation and some sightseeing. RV deserves its place as the number 1 destination for tennis. The facilities are excellent and the coaches...

Stayed here a few days ago...and WOW...the staff go above and beyond. The physical property is charming, immaculate, romantic, quiet, pristine, beautiful gardens. Our room had a toilet in it that retails for about $5,000 dollars....ha!! Lovely fireplaces everywhere and the BEST margaritas made by the fabulous bartenders in the pony room. The greeters at the security gate were so...

I can see Rancho Valencia as my go-to resort on West Coast now. This Relais & Chateaux is like a perfect oasis right outside of downtown San Diego. Highlights on my trip: *Service: was greeted by name upon arrival and throughout my stay. I brought my puppy baby girl with me and the staffs are very accommodating which I highly...

We decided to make this wonderful small resort our base of operations to see the San Diego area and we were blown away. We went to the other Five Diamond resort in the area first and decided to checkout based on the extra distance and fragrance in the hotel that agitated my wife's allergies. AMEX made the reservations and RV...

I truly expected to like this hotel. I wanted to like this hotel. It's in a nice setting, it's a member of Relais & Châteaux, and it's generally been highly rated. My experience, however, was disappointing. The staff is poorly trained and lackluster. The physical plant is nice (our suite was large and well decorated), but the presence of parked...

It is always disappointing to visit a place you once loved and find that it is no longer special. Our family used to come here several times a year, it was one of our favorite places to escape Los Angeles. However, this could be the last time we come back. We arrived and there was no one at the front...

To start we were married here 5 years ago and it was the most magical day of our lives, so RV will forever have a place in our hearts. It's been 5 years since we've have been here (due to moving away) and our experience coming back exceeded my every expectation. We arrived early and our room, the Valencia Suite,...

just left the San Diego area and stayed at Rancho Valencia with my daughter while visiting colleges. Could not have been a more perfect choice. Absolutely beautiful property. The staff was what stood out the most. They did everything with a smile and surprised with treats at every turn. The fact that I was not charged for parking and the...

Renovated since I was here last time about ten years ago. Seems like each casita now has its own private jacuzzi. Huge room and bathroom that is modern. Great service. Quaint tennis resort. No onsite good though.
