We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! It's pretty unassuming on the outside, but it's warm and inviting on the inside. The employees are super friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hot tub was clean (towels provided outside and bathrooms are nearby.) The beach and pier are just minutes away and a pleasant walk. There are bicycles and pedal trams for rent. The breakfast buffet was decent. I would stay here again.
masked up we returned to the holiday inn express for a few days during a family reunion...the place is clean and quiet...the free breakfast is great!...the staff is very friendly too....we love coming here....thx so much!
We asked for an upgrade and boy did we get one. You could have held a small sports event in the living room of the suite. The bedroom by comparison was small, but comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The desk recommended a seafood place for dinner and we walked to the beach to go there only to fined it had closed a half hour before. We went to Antonio's diagonally across the street. It would have been easy to miss because the sign was not lit. Glad we found it. Excellent food at prices I have not seen in years. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but enough.
We booked a suite. 1 king size bed. 1 pull out sofa. We called twice to confirm 1 king and the sofa. Upon entering the room we realized there was no pull out sofa. Called the front desk. They were no help. Hubs and I ended up sleeping on the floor. The rollaway bed could not support me. Get this I weigh 100 lbs. We ended up sleeping on the floor. There were many ways to handle this situation. This was handled so poorly.
We had a king size room. It had a chair with footstool and a bench. A sofa could fit easily in the room. My granddaughter visited and her feet were pretty dirty by the time we left an hour later. The shower water took 10 minutes to get warm. Only 2 kcups with 1 being decaf was in the room. The free breakfast was served quickly, but the bagels were extremely dry. The yogurt was the mini cups. Scrambled eggs were the best item served.
It was just a stop for us and nothing big. One thing I would recommend is if you don't want to hear noise from ceiling, that you stay on the 2nd floor. It was clean and easy quick check in. Well mannered staff.
I forgot my iphone charger and Paul at the front desk was so generous to lend me his personal charger overnight. Everyone I interacted with was hospitable and solicitous. Breakfast pretty decent, tasty sausage and biscuits and good range of other options like fruit, pastries, eggs, cereal. Facilities a little worn in the room but comfortable bed and pillows and everything was clean.
Very friendly staff at check-in and breakfast. Easy parking and easy to get to. Walk in shower, which not every Holiday Inn Express has. The room felt a little large for the amount of furniture in it though. It was also a long walk from the room to the elevator on the 3rd floor and the stairs were inconveniently located.
Nothing beats this hotel for value and location. Hotel is located approximately 2 blocks away from Port Hueneme Beach Park. The beach itself is great for family due to abundance of parking, gentle waves and shallow depth of water. Staff is always attentive and professional. I love the free hosted wine hour and breakfast as well. Very high quality offerings at this price point. Just completed my second visit and look forward to many more!
Stayed here for 2 nights on our California road trip. The hotel is in a quiet road. Walking distance to visit the ocean and pier. The beach is wonderful. Plenty of shops and eatery’s, shopping outlet and Seabees Naval museum all close by. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent in every way. Heavily stocked hot food, and the eating area was spotless. The young lady working there was excellent and very efficient. Another added bonus was complementary drinks/snacks between 5–7 most days in the week. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel - it is a real gem.
