We have stayed there several time and find the locals make it a fun experience for a lone business person or even a couple. There is a great breakfast restaurant across the street. I got a bit tipsy at the bar one afternoon and left my very expensive camera and didn't realize it until the next day an of course...

If you don't like cookie cutter accommodations this is the place for you. We felt like we were in grandma's guest room, with the soft carpet, old books, shutters, radiator and TV we couldn't figure out how to work. We had a very comfortable and convenient one-night stay, and after we finally located the manager to check in we were...

We stayed in the "Bellows Suite" for 2 nights. Here's my honest impression: We arrived at the side door for the hotel (which is apparently the main door) and pressed a button that said "press for assistance". Nothing. So we proceeded through the door where we had a choice of an elevator, stairs or the restaurant. Having no sinage to...

We spent one night at Hotel Mac in a comfortable and quiet room, nicely decorated. A family-operated hotel with personality, much unlike the chain hotels. Located in a 3-story landmark building with the charm of bygone days yet all the comfort of modern life. Our car slept in a secure parking lot allowing us to sleep in peace. Our simple...

Originally I booked this hotel because it was very close to a training venue. Once I started doing some research I discovered it had a great history and an awesome location. My expectations were high as I checked in, and the hotel did not disappoint. The Hotel is very comfortable, quiet, and in a very good location. Several great places...

We stayed in the Annex, but I think the rooms in the historic building and Annex are also good. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It was right downtown and convenient. Mac is quirky in that they are not very clear about all the details. We stayed six nights and were surprised the room was not straightened and lightly...

This is a Bay Area treasure first serving people over a hundred years ago. Its location in the heRt of the little town of Pt Richmond is easily accesssible and yet still feels like you've gone spmewhere farther away. Proximity to historic sites and some gentle Baybeaches. The Hotels decor is more early 20 th century and the rooms are...

I thought the stay was really good. They provide gated parking so there is no need to look for a spot on the street and your car is pretty safe. I stayed in the carriage house which is strange because it is a completely different building. The room was nice although a little small. The downside is that this building...

What a great environment! Live music, fabulous food, friendly atmosphere. The filet steak was amazing quality and the wine was great value. This is a small town and I am impressed with the excellence of this restaurant. Hotel Mac is a must visit place.

The only experience I have with the Hotel Mac, is with thebar. Drinks used to be ordinary, but they have upgraded their bar program and the cocktails better and more interesting. They have live music in the small lounge area. The food in the bar and restaurant appears to be the usual fair. Slim pickings for those of us that...
