This was my children's first experience in a hostel. Everything exceeded our expectation. The place is exceptional clean, well-organized, environmentally friendly, and quiet. Nancy was very friendly and helpful. She suggested the coed room so that we all could stay in the same room. The ranch-style house is in a tranquil setting with hills and forests around, 2 miles away...

I stayed at the hostel with my son for one night while we were doing a 2 day tour of Point Reyes. We arrived in the evening when it was dark and it was a long drive along a nice windy road, so pretty remote. Check in was quick and we stayed in a private room with 2 sets of...

This was our first time staying in a hostel. We got one of the private rooms - they have a double mattress and three bunks. There is a communal kitchen that is very well organized, quite clean and fun to meet other folks. There's a living room section to the kitchen with two couches and a couple of chairs. Also...

I have stayed at 27 hostels from St.Petersberg, Russia to San Diego. This one was if not the best, certainly one of the best. I was impressed by the hostess, Nancy. Her attitude and friendliness were outstanding. The main area was warm and inviting. I had such a great experience in the communal kitchen that night meeting people and being...

Nice hostel in Point Reyes Park. Beds in dorm room of 8 are very comfortable. Sheets and towels are provided, although you might bring an extra towel, especially if you are going to the beach. Kitchen facilities are nice, and some nice common areas for reading. Mix of people of all ages, this is a quiet hostel. No wifi or...

In the forest, quiet and clean. Comfortable beds, large kitchen. It's a bit of a drive from town but well worth it. Plenty of trails that lead to the beach and quiet spots to relax. I highly recommend it as one of the stops when you're on the coast of Northern California

My husband and young daughter stayed at the Pt. Reyes Youth Hostel for one night, while we explored the Pt. Reyes National Seashore. What a hidden gem this hostel is! Even though we live less than 50 miles from the area, we felt like we were a million miles away. I stayed in many hostels in Europe twenty years ago,...

Cozy, clean and pretty hostel. Neither wifi nor mobile reception. Hikes directly from the hostel. Difficult to get there without a car. Bunk beds were comfortable. Offered organic tea/coffee for donations. Big selection of books and magazines.
