From the moment we stepped through the door, our experience at the Albert Shafsky House was top notch! Rita and Stephanie were extremely welcoming and gracious and the property is beautiful. We were shown to our very spacious room (Alberta's Attic), which was clean and comfortable, and were offered some tasty local wine. The El Dorado County and Amador County...

We loved the property, and the innkeepers were so hospitable we were warmed by their kindness and hospitality. Reading in the downstairs parlor with soft music in the background is an experience we will remember. Delicious food, local wines and caring innkeepers --- what could be better? Stan & Irene

We had an absolutely wonderful time here--probably the MOST FUN we've ever experienced in our 30 years of B&B's. Ditto on everything that's been mentioned: delicious breakfast, charming rooms, hospitable hosts, heavenly sheets on the comfy beds. But we have to give credit to Rita & Stephanie, the personable Innkeepers, who made us feel right at home. They were born...

Everything you could want in a B&B and so much more! Historical property, themed guest rooms, turn-of-the-century charm and decor, and the sweetest, most hospitable innkeepers you will ever meet! Not your standard B&B breakfast....DELICIOUS gourmet delicacies delight the palate. I was expecting fruit and yogurt, but instead got freshly made-that-morning scones, apple crunch "pan"cake (baked tart style in the...

This was the first time my husband and I ever stayed at a B&B and we were so very fortunate to go to a good one! We thought the Albert Shafsky House Bed and Breakfast was very quaint and very clean! The wine in the afternoon was great and we especially were lucky because the other 2 couples that were...

We just enjoyed our first stay at the Albert Shafsky House Bed and Breakfast. Its a charming Victorian home both inside and out. It is beautifully decorated and yet made us feel very much at home. My husband has a bad back and is always concerned about the beds where ever we stay at. He was absolutely thrilled that the...

We were recommended to "The Shafsky House" by another B/B. We were so pleased they had availability for our two night stay. We were greeted by Rita and Lilly (the dashound), and shown the room that was available for our two nights. The house was very cosy and had a lovely feel with it.Rita was very interested in where we...

From the minute Steph met us at the door of this Victorian inn, we knew we were in store for a great stay. We stayed in the Vineyard room with its luxurious king bed. The inn is known for its soft sheet and let me say they are the softest I have ever encountered. Each of the three rooms has...

When we first arrived, we were concerned a bit; the neighborhood is nice, but the house next door is a bit run down on the exterior and parts of the B&B looked worn. But inside is terrific. Our room (on the first floor) was spacious, comfortable and quiet, with our own A/C unit to control as we wished. The living...

My husband, friends, and I had a delightful stay at the Shafsky House. The Inn keeper, Rita made us feel so welcome. It was if we had known her for years. The Inn is right in the heart of Placerville so we could walk to the restaurants in town but still have a quiet nights sleep. Once you have slept...
