When we first entered we almost turned around and left immediately as the spots are so close together. We then luckily followed the road into the back campground which is larger and more picturesque by the river. I thought we would have had views of the beach but you need to walk over the dunes to get to it. The...

We pulled in and almost immediately wanted to leave. The sites are cramped, and to be frank, ugly. To make matters worse, there is construction going on and listening to hammering and drills put me in a foul mood. This was not what I thought I paid for. But I'm glad we stayed. Short walk to beach and decent restaurants. The...

The sites were small but neat. The bathrooms were private which was nice but my shower was too hot (not often that's a complaint!) My favorite thing was hearing the surf and it was a 5 minute walk on a pretty sand path to the beach. The area only felt OK.

We stayed here for a couple of days and had a great stay. The rangers were polite and helpful, the campsite although full over the Easter weekend was quiet after 10pm. The facilities were very good and cleaned thoroughly in the morning. If only some campers would make the same effort during the day things would be better. You get...

You need to book early if you want a spot at a state park, so we booked this in January. My husband loves to fish and he wanted to do some surf fishing. Unfortunately, storms went through Northern California and the beaches of San Luis Obispo County, so bad ruining the coastline. This week, we got in on a sunny...

Usually there is a challenge balancing the good and bad in commenting on our experiences but this time it is too easy. We have been on the road for months now and enjoying beautiful and challenging State campgrounds all across the US South-West. While some have been pure gems, some have been....well, not so much. Oceano Campground is, without doubt,...

This campground has me at a loss. While the campground itself is nice and clean it’s right off the main road in an area that is just ok. I have a popup camper so I use the campground facilities and when you wake up at 3am to do your thing and you see people going through the trash can looking...

Great location and site, trees and lots of room. Restrooms were run down and not very many, showers hard to get to. Maybe staying in the RV section would have been better, burt more expensive. Nice little hike to the beach where everyone is driving on it. access is available, but not sure of the rules. This is right on...

My family and I stayed here last week for 5 days. The first and last time that will ever happen. The female Rangers are just terrible! I don't know if they feel like they have something to prove or what, but they are the rudest, most unfriendly bunch of women I've ever encountered and they are on a complete power...

Noisy and busy but we enjoyed it. Not a place to relax its more for xtreme sports. Decent prices 10 bucks a night but beware you need to make sure to reserve ahead of time especially during summer. By noon pottys were out of toilet paper not cool 😜
