I'm not the type of person to book a cheap room expecting a 5 star experience. All i need is a place to sleep and wifi. This place had everything I needed except my bed HAD DEAD ROACHES IN IT! I have stayed in cheaper hotels than this and at least they can keep a bed clean. Sleep here if you want to wake up to a 2 inch roach dead next to you when you wake up. SICK!!!
Standard room with a microwave and refrigerator. Room was plain but clean. King bed, Saturday night $109 plus tax. All in all fine for a one night on a trip south. It's at the end of spring street near freeway most of the restaurants and stores seem to be located at the other end of spring street. However, there are lots of eating options up and down this stretch of the road so finding meal options isn't difficult - t hen a quick hop back on the 101.
Boyfriend and I decided that we wanted to spend last night in Paso with a low budget. We searched in the area and found Wine Country Inn. We saw reviews and it seemed decent and it was $125 on a Saturday night for a last second booking! Super cheap and reasonable. There were maybe 15 rooms in this whole area so they were very well taken care of and it's a really cute place. Very close to gas stations, the bowling alley, grocery store and not too far from Atascadero. Although the room itself is fairly small I was impressed that the king bed was nice and fairly comfy, the bathroom had an updated sink and shower and they had a fridge and microwave. The TV was flatscreen and it worked (this has been an issue for me in the past!) And an extremely quiet room. I didn't hear any outdoor noise and would stay here again.
We made reservations for this motel online, and got a room with a king bed. The bathroom was full of flies. Someone related to the management set up a table and portable stove outside on the other side of the wall by the head of our bed. This person was cooking something and talking and banging pots and pans well into the night. Not returning.
The man and woman that own this place are so rude and unprofessional. Guy harassed my fiance and I and told us to get out because our room smelled like cigarettes when we smoked in our car every time (which was not a lot). Tried to say the found out cigarette butts outside the room last night when we weren’t even there all day and night until about 4am and we went straight to bed. When my fiancé and my grandma checked in they first asked if they were together..! Then said they had to take the credit cards and IDs of everyone staying in the room, and that they have to do room service everyday. They didn’t even do room service at all then tried to say our room smells like cigarettes? Horrible people and horrible service!! The beds are super itchy as well!! And I’m a resident of Paso Robles, makes me so mad that we were treated so unfair just because they don’t like that we smoke cigarettes and expected us to go across the street to smoke.... crazy

We stayed there in February and I can assure you that all the rooms have been redecorated. The bathrooms are small but are very nicely appointed. The new owners are very anxious to please. While there are refrigerators and microwaves in each room, there is no coffee maker, we brought an electric kettle. overall this place is a great value.
