Went for a conference being held here. I was a little annoyed that I was not offered an SPG preferred room as a member. Maybe they were all booked but they usually offer. Otherwise the staff was friendly enough and check in and it was not hard. I hated that the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Yuck. Not what I...

I stayed here as mandated by company guidelines. This was outside my normal personal lodging choice. The rooms were not clean and the hallways had a smell. The cleaning staff had a lot of junk in the hallways that gave an untidy look. Also I could not get my clothes steamed and prepared for my meeting because the facility was...

sometimes it's the little things that count - long check in line and no starwood check in option on your phone like many of their other properties offer - renovated room but the door to the bathroom is an awkward sliding thing that is difficult to open and close - no tub and a very confusing shower - it almost...

Staff was mostly great, accommodating and friendly. I had a fridge that didn't work but it was quickly swapped out by a very proficient electrician named Melville. Everyone during the day was very nice but it was at night that I had a small nightmare. I was in town for an exhibition and had to leave around 4 a.m. The...

This property could not have a better location. The recently redone rooms, although a little small are comfortable, and the beds are excellent. There are the usual irritations like pay parking, and pay Internet, but my experience was a comedy of "find out what's missing from this room". First it was no washcloths. It took two calls and two trips...

Whomever thought it a good idea to use tile in big open hallways should be fired, or made to stay in a room off such a hallway. It is INCREDIBLY loud in the Palo Alto building, especially when the drunken hoards return from their misadventures. If they give you a room in the "other building" when you check-in, politely decline....

I stayed there during Super Bowl L weekend. So I won't take into account for this review the outrageous price I paid. The hotel feels very old and not well maintained. You can see clear it has seen it past glories. This is very unfortunate because otherwise the Japanese/zen design would be very nice if well kept. Carpet was dirty...

Very nice staff, and I am sure the location keeps this property very busy. Front desk is their issue, and throughout the day, they have lines and you can tell they are short staffed. Again, very accommodating, well trained staff, but the ownership should study business patterns and staff accordingly. For the destination and very good location, I would recommend...

This may be one of the most conflicted reviews I have ever written. There are some things about this hotel which are amazing. The grounds are truly beautiful, like being in a tropical resort, with lovely outdoor pool. The club level, if you want to pay for it, had great modern rooms (more on that in a second), and the...

Very very Impressed by this hotel! Staff, grounds, food and amazing club level. 5 minutes from Stanford and downtown Palo Alto. Checkin with Angela was very welcoming and professional. Pool bar staff and food were excellent. Upgraded to junior suite which was perfectly appointed. Club Level was as good as I have seen, surprisingly impressed. Thanks to everyone at the...
