The Monkey Tree was like no other hotel I've ever stayed in! From its retro decor to the homemade breakfast spread including DELICIOUS mini muffins, homemade granola and tasty scones..The Monkey Tree made for a great spot to help celebrate my best friends 30th. The mountainside view from the lawn and outside the front gate was breathtaking. The rooms were...

For a weekend away without kids, my husband booked this charming hotel. It has great character with its restored mid-century modern design. Everything is clean, tidy, and immaculately kept. The Owners are very friendly and made sure we knew all the features and that we were enjoying ourselves. Waking up to the vibrant blue sky, mountains in the background, palm...

I had a lovely stay at the Monkey Tree, the owners are very gracious and make you feel at home. Delicious homemade granola and baked goods in the morning, with even earlier coffee set out for those of us still on east coast time ;) The rooms are spacious and decorated to match the palm springs vibe, and some even...

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Monkey Tree Hotel celebrating our friend's 30th birthday. We had a blast! Kathleen and Gary made us feel right at home and accommodated our needs. It was so peaceful and relaxing - the views, the hot tub and sauna (I was too chicken to try out the cold plunge), the...

It's not far from the airport, so if you don't might jets zooming by in the bright blue sky above your tranquil pool, this is a great place to stay. Designed by mid century modern architect Albert Frey, this is a lovely property, restored and well maintained by the couple who've bought it. The rooms are large and clean, the...

The owners Kathleen and Gary were beyond accommodating in helping us make this a very special celebration for my sister. The hotel grounds were beautiful, rooms were clean and comfortable, the decor of the entire place is so lovely, the homemade...

So glad we found this small hotel. Unusual Architect designed buildings in the older original part of Palm Springs. Refurbished and re-opened this year. Lovely pool and garden area. Quiet. Rooms comfortable. Bathrooms fitted in traditional style - not with the most modern fittings!

My wife and I spent a three day weekend in Palm Springs to check out mid century modern architecture. We stayed in this newly reborn hotel designed by Albert Frey. The owners treated us like family and we met some wonderful people around the pool at happy hour and breakfast of this small, comfortable, quiet adults only hotel. The breakfast...

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip to The Monkey Tree Hotel in November--it was perfect in every way. Quiet relaxation. Beautiful location. Super clean rooms (we stayed in the fantastic Jungle Room and really loved having the private courtyard). Comfortable bed (with a choice of fluffy or flat pillows). Excellent coffee and delicious, healthy breakfast...

This hotel is a little gem among so many less than interesting hotels in the Palm Springs area. Not trying to be trendy, but rather trying to bring back the value of personal attention to the guests. The proprietors were so warm and friendly and it almost seemed like you were staying in a B&B, but instead you were in...
