Needing some R&R, we decided to head off to Palm Springs for a 3 night get-away. We usually stay in the historic "Tennis" district near downtown, and I'm SO glad my husband remembered the name of this little gem. No kids, no pets, and no smoking allowed….just peace and quiet. We called and talked to Barbara, the most wonderful manager...

I really don't want to tell anyone about this treasure though I feel recognition is well deserved and warranted. My husband and I stayed here in July, a bit of respite from our Australian winter. I couldn't have been any happier than I was lazing by and in the pool. It was super quiet here, and I often found to...

We would never have found this great hotel had it not been for Coachella. The hotel we had stayed in a couple of times before doubled their rates so we looked around for a better deal. Not only is the Desert Hills a better deal, our room #4 was a whole apartment with a private patio in the back. Rachel...

A friend and I stayed three nights this past weekend at this delightful hotel. We stayed in the two bedroom, two bath unit at the front of the one story building. It was wonderful. Very spacious and furnished with everything you could possibly need including a full kitchen, with a refrigerator and cookware. The unit had been totally redone about...

We have been staying at DHH for years and have made many lasting friendships at DHH. Over the years, there have been many changes and this is understandable as there have been several changes in ownership. The new air conditioning system is great and quiet. yay. And the new arbour is great - even though several palm trees had to...

My husband and I visited in March and we had reservations for 3 nights, but when our flight was delayed I called to let them know we would be arriving 1 day late and they were so kind to accommodate us and did not charge for the late cancelation. Once we arrived the next day we were welcomed for what...

A true gem tucked away but yet very close to town. Had a great room. We were there when it was rainy but would have loved to use the pool and spa area. Everyone was helpful. Enjoyed our trip and would definitely return !

Over the last 5 years or so we have stayed in quite a few different types of accommodation, from small hotels downtown to mission style to mid century modern inns and we have finally found the place we will continually return to like so many of the other guests we met. Firstly the owners Jim and Rachel are such good...

We were looking for the quintenssential 50's style hotel and found it in the Desert Hills Hotel. Build in the 50's, the current owners are the third (I think) and it has probably gone through one updating. The property is well-maintained, and Rachel was very helpful booking us a room that would accommodate us and our college-age son. The rooms...

“This is a one story hotel, I looked at one of the studio rooms and it too was very nice though not as contemporary as the two bedroom unit. It appeared to be weell outfitted and very comfortable.”

“We were in Room 6 which some have dismissed as being too close to the guest pantry. This was never a problem for us and there was no noise at all that bothered us. Room 6 is an irregular shape and therefore larger than others in the same category.”
