Stayed at the more upscale Cottage location with family for 2 nights. This is their sister location across the street from the Lodge. It is an old property that has been renovated but is not quite up to par yet. The good: wonderfully quiet location at the western end of Pacific Grove. A work in progress that could really be...

This is our second time staying here. The first was years ago when the kids were younger and we stayed on the "lodge" side. This time we reserved one of the "cottage" rooms. It was nice, with a jacuzzi tub (one of the reasons I picked this room) and a gas fireplace (but unfortunately ours was not working and had...

The hotel has been spruced up a bit with its remodel, but was sorely lacking in some basic comforts. The front desk staff were nice. Considering the high price point to stay there, I was disappointed to find: - No bath mats in the rooms - No ventilation ("there's no air conditioning in the Central Coast" I was told) -...

Cons: *The maintenance here is not great: our sliding glass door onto the patio would not latch shut nor lock and the staff had an attitude of "what's the big deal". They literally said that it will latch, it is difficult to do, so just call down to the front desk and have maintenance come and close your door EVERY...

Our family rented 3 rooms and while the rooms were adequate, two of them had maintenance problems. In our case our ground floor room's patio door was very difficult to lock using door latch, and the foot latch didn't work at all. More seriously, in our daughter's room there was a smell of gas which we think came from the...

Boyfriend and I were starting a roadtrip driving down the PCH from San Francisco and we found this place on our first night on the road. Loved the location - very quiet, at the end of a residential street. Golf course and old cemetery on other side of property. Rooms have recently been updated. The breakfast that was included is...

Being a former resident of Pacific Grove back in the mid 70's it was great to return for a few days. Temperature was 66 which was great since we drove down from Sacramento. Our room was very comfortable with a fireplace, microwave, and mini fridge. The rooms have been renovated and looked great, TV was not very good but wasn't...

We visited Pacific Grove on the way from Los Angeles to San Francisco and the room looked good value for money. From the outside this establishment doesnt look much bu when we entered the room we were pleasantly surprised. It was a cold day and the fireplace was going (gas not logs) so the room was warm and cosy. We...

We stayed two nights in an Upper Lodge Suite. The rooms and bathroom were clean, spacious and freshly decorated. The bed and sofa were both comfortable. A gas fireplace in the bedroom and in the living area. The "kitchen" area was spacious with plenty of counter top space, a sink, microwave, mini fridge and small 4 cup coffee maker. The...
