Previous as tardivezoar. Have stayed here five or six times. Nice for families but watch out for meetings that cater to unhappy people. They will ruin your stay. Left my quilt there housekeeping found it and returned by mail. They were outstanding!!!
I first visited Asilomar in the late 1970s for a meditation retreat. I just visited again with my spouse in September 2014! Before my second visit, I remembered the retreat as blissful, not just for the yoga and meditation, but also for the beautiful location,...More

The place is big and near to the beach. I saw wild life especially deers and large squirrels in the area. Blue jays and native plants thrive in seafront front where travellers can stroll using the pathways. Idyllic, scenic and rustic, i would recommend the...More
On Friday before the Labor Day weekend, we thought of going out of town for the weekend. I was lucky when my query turned two rooms that I could book. I believe it was cancellation, which is offered 24 hours of the arrival.

Hello, I grew in in PG and have returned to stay at Asilomar number of times over the years. This is a conference site first but they really advertise to individuals now also. This new property group sells rooms as to location on the property, fireplace, ocean views are now extras. What is a "ocean view" to one may not be to another. They don't like to tell where your room will be because of conferences. I'd goggle a map of the property and you can see where the rooms/buildings are set. The 800 number people are in AZ. and really don't knew the site at all. I'd ask where my room is, most ocean views are in a nice areas. The rooms are dated but clean. They have plans to redo them this coming year. Asilomar Beach is right across the street, you can't get any closer. The grounds are very nice, it's a state park. I won't buy your meals there, to many great restaurant in PG and Monterey.....check TripAdvisor. Carmel is about 7 miles away and you can go into the 17 Mile Gate right up the hill from Asilomar. Merry Christmas
