We arrived in off season when the color was still there. People were helpful. Place was clean. Tea and coffee in the reception every day. Staff had resturant suggestions. I would return. I loved the under the apartment parking and elevator right there.

We stayed at the Red Wolf Squaw Valley in the off season, October. From the pictures and reviews, we expected it to be a bit dead, outdated and nothing special. We were satisfied to just get a reservation and have a "home-base". We were very pleasantly surprised to find that t

This was our 3rd time staying here & our best yet. The help was fantastic in getting checked in & obtaining the room we requested. They had a pancake breakfast & s'more social. Both were very good along with being able to meet other guests. A great idea. The resort is well ma

We have come here 3 times now and love to be able to get away from our own staycation property. The studio we recently had was fine for what we needed. Clean room - comfy bed, kitchen is very handy and the BBQ grill is always kept clean. Kitchen is equipped with what we need an

The condo was very nice and well equipped. We were able to cook in our kitchen, grill on the grill outside the club house, and go eat in the village which is about 100 yds. away. The bed was very comfortable. The service was friendly. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary!

Hi! We are traveling to Lake Tahoe in March - 2 families - kids age 2-16. We want to stay in a place that has everything we need and don't need to drive :) What activities are there - do they have snowtubing? How far is the walk to the village? Is this ski in ski out? Is there a restaurant/bar or do we go to the Village for meals/drinks? Anything else you can share would be great! Thank you!
Hi, The lodge has no restaurants, but is located in village. there some restaurants with bars. The lodge is the closest the lift.

We're coming Nov. 13-19 (non-skiers). Generally what is the weather like then? Also, we'd like to see as much as we can of the area. What are the highlights we should look into? We like hiking/exploring. Anything like that?
you should start getting a light frosting on the mountain at the time you're going in November. my sister-in-law lives about 40 minutes away from Lake Tahoe so I'm very familiar with the weather and the general area degrees wise at night late twenties midday upper fifties. as far as hiking trails weather permitting if there's not a lot of snow on the ground there's plenty of trails that you can hike. there's plenty exploring hiking to do just be sure to do your research and don't underestimate the weather when you go in the Heights you definitely are going to the right place

Hello, I have a traveling companion that wants to see redwoods. Are there any areas of redwoods within driving distance of your resort?
Unfortunately, the Redwoods National Forest is 7 hours driving distance from Lake Tahoe.

Hello Folks from Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley. Were planning to stay in your property for the week Mar 29- Apr 5, 2015. Can you guys give me a heads up on what activities we can do during this time ( Im with my family). What weather do we expect for that week? What types of clothes do we need to prepare to feel comfortable as we go around the localities and cities that surround Lake Tahoe? Ill itemize my other queries here: 1. Were coming from Fairfield, CA and were renting a minivan, Do we need snow tires during this time of the year? We will be renting the van for 2 or more weeks, as we are venturing on a long road trip (with 2 or 3 1-2 day stopovers) from Olympic valley to San Diego. 2. This will be our first time to live in a ski resort. We dont ski and we dont have any bit of experience. What sort of activity can we do if it is totally unfamiliar to us? 3. What sort of seasonal activities/festivals/ events are expected in the surrounding areas of Olympic Valley, incl Incline Village, Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Stateline Nevada, Zephyr cove and south lake tahoe? Is it also worth to visit Reno? 4. Are there nearby convenient stores, supermarkets or even marketplace in Olympic valley? You may call us Mall rats, but my children's pastime is visiting and hanging out in malls. is there any nearby? 5. Are your outdoor pools heated? If not, do you have indoor pools that are heated? We dont have much body insulation (all of us are slender) and my kids are scared stiff of the idea of swimming in early spring cold weather. Well, thats about all the things I need to ask. When something comes to mind, Ill come back. Thanks Guys in advance for your response, In the meantime, pls allow me to greet our future hosts a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and Fulfilling New Year!
In house activities include a Monday morning welcome breakfast, wine and cheese night, movie night, picture frame painting, guided snow shoe hike, holiday treat decorating, hot apple pie (hard cider), s'mores by the firepit etc. Squaw Valley resort offers skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, tubing etc. The weather is unpredicatable, but we recommend you prepare for winter weather ranging from the 20's to the 50's. 1. You will need chains if it snows. 2. Ice skating, tubing, sledding. 3. Please view the following websites for other activity information in and around the lake. squawalpine, gotahoenorth, tahoe and yes, Reno is worth a visit as well. 4. There is a small market located in The Village at Squaw Valley, but for grocery shopping you will need to go to the Safeway in Truckee (10mi) or the Savemart or Safeway in Tahoe City (7mi). There are no malls in Lake Tahoe, however Reno does have an indoor mall. 5. We do not have a pool onsite. We have 3 heated outdoor spas. We look forward to your visit in March and please do not hesitate to call us with any additional questions at 530-583-7226.

Hi Neighbors (we live in Maine) and are thinking of doing a timeshare exchange to Red Wolf. Do you remember how much the resort fee was, and was it a daily fee or a one time fee. Thank you so much. Biker/Hiker
Hi Neighbor! We do have a nightly resort service fee of $9.90, which covers the parking, WiFi, bikes, movies, board games, golf clubs, backpacks, Monday morning breakfast plus all of our other activites. Hope to see you soon!

"We came the 2nd week of Sept. and had a Studio room on 1st floor near BBQ & Jacuzzi, it was perfect. Facing the East side this time."
"some rooms have balconies, end room is large and more light."
"Studio is fine for 1-2 people, cars park underneath. some first floor rooms open onto deck with pool/clubhouse."
"Request top floor, as sound travels very well in hotel. It was reasonably quiet after 11pm."
"Pick the top floor due to noisy ski boots."
