We love Squaw Creek, have stayed several times, but this stay in particular was special. After being trapped in traffic for 6 hours trying to escape Tahoe in an epic blizzard with 4 foot of snow fall, we called Squaw Creek from the car for a last minute reservation. We had an

Loved ski on/ski off and having skis ready in the morning. I enjoyed the lobby with the warm fire place and bar for an evening drink and hot chocolate. the outdoor pool was very nice but could have been warmer.

Once again Squaw Creek Resort does not disappoint. My family enjoyed every minute of our stay. Not to mention that this is an excellent resort for everyone, skiers and non skiers. The staff was great and the shuttle to Olympic village for Squaw kids and skiing for adults

After booking this trip many many months in advance, naturally our accommodations were not what we ordered. The property seems run down a bit, and out food on site was just not good. We ate off site for the last three days, and had awesome meals. This was a special family trip

We've never stayed in a ground floor, but they look nice. Only issue would be that your view isn't as good. We like staying high enough to see the valley...absolutely beautiful! We've also stayed in a forest view room, which is fine but it's basically the trees in the back of the building. Valley view upper level is great :).

How far from the lake to go swimming?
It's pretty far unfortunately, about a 15-20 minute drive. The Resort is nestled in a valley closer to the ski lifts than the lake itself.

You take the complementary on-site shuttle to the main Squaw Village . The best bunnies are at High Camp at the top of the gondola.
