We loved our stay at Hat Creek Resort. We stayed in cabin #1, which we thought was the best one! It was really well stocked with everything we needed for the kitchen, the bathroom was good sized, and the bed was very comfortable. The outside deck had a table with 2 chairs and overlooked the creek, which was peaceful and...

What a serene setting. Gorgeous creek and very rustic. I am not much into roughing our, so the fully stocked cabin was perfect for me. The carpet in one of the bedrooms was very stained and the mouse in the cabinet had a field day with the dog food were brought. No worries, there was enough to go around. The...

I made a reservation at Hat Creek on 4/21/13. Then we rerouted our trip plans and I cancelled on 5/21 for a reservation 6 weeks later. The resort kept $25 as a cancelation fee. DO NOT make reservations at Hat Creek unless there is no chance you will change travel plans. I have never heard of this before.

I think this is our 4th time staying at Hat Creek Resort at Old Station. WE really love it there. We just take our food and they have everything else. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The cabins are clean. Beds are comfy. Heat and air cond. You can walk outside your door and fish! WE caught fish again....

We stayed at the standard queen motel room while visiting Lassen. You can not beat the location! Manzanita Lake entrance is around 10-15 minutes drive. Butte lake campground (the starting point for Cinder Cone hike) is also around 20-25 minutes drive. So, you can go in either direction on CA-44 to access different trails. This place may look rundown from...

General remark: First things first: As far as I can judge it, all accommodations close to Lassen Volcanic National Park are very basic. If you need a supermarket and some restaurants around to be happy, you should consider staying e.g. in Burney (40 miles to the northern park entrance) or in Chester (25 miles to the southern park entrance). Service:...

My husband and I spent two nights in the motel. The outside looked dated. So I was surprised when I saw the rooms were recently remodeled, clean and very comfortable. Had a internet, TV, microwave and refrigerator. Motel staff was very pleasant and efficient. What a great place! We were on our way to Lassen Nat'l Park and saw the...

We stayed here for 8 nights touring Lassen National Park and MacArthur-Burney Falls State Park. Service was good and the camp store stayed open until 7 pm. Enjoyed meeting PCT thruhikers. The sites were a very tight fit. I had to squeeze to get into my pull-thru site and getting out of it was a very tough job. In both...

We stopped here one evening after leaving Lassen National Park on June17th, 2013. From the outside the motel looks old and questionable as far as staying overnight. But inside it has been redone, freshly painted, new furniture, new beds, and refrigerator. Even had a nice dinette set for us to have breakfast on. The room was large and clean. We...

We stayed overnight 6/30/13 without a reservation in an a-frame camper, space #44. We had a full hookup site but they also have primitive sites and one of those would have been just fine. All sites seem to have nice big fireplaces. There isn't much grass around, all the sites are in the trees and dirt. The creek is very...
