My family and I recently completed a week stay at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas and I can sum the entire stay up in one word – underwhelmed. To elaborate, almost nothing stood out as great about our stay, but many things were subpar. I do not think this hotel should be a Category 7, it does not compare with other...

We went to the Newport Coast Villas in January 2014 and we are still raving about our stay. The place is stunning and well kept. The pools were great and the actual villas, although quite old (we got a 2-bedroom but not a lock-off type which is the standard in most new developments), we still enjoyed the space and was...

Our first visit to the area. Stayed for five days prior to attending Catalina Island wedding. The property was very nice. We stayed in the main building which is great for close proximity to main pool. Definitely need a car if you plan on leaving the resort for anything.

This property is well maintained. Lots of quiet areas, BBQ and picnic areas. Loved the Adirondack chairs scattered around the property, The actual suites could use a little TLC. Maybe some cabinet hardware and updated appliances. The OTR in our suite looked ready to fall off the wall. It was scary to use. Pool areas are nice. One issue was...

I am there right now - it has only been 3 days and true to form Marriott has been fabulous. The room I am in has been partially renovated and is beautiful. They have hit it out of the park and when they are finished it will be amazing. I love, love, love this property - always top of the...

My family & I just returned from a one-week stay at the Newport Coast villas. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. We found the villas provided just about everything one would need for a vacation including the BEST thing of all---space. All villas have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, living room & balcony. Marriott provides shuttles to...

I stayed for just a few nights in June, 2014, to visit friends staying there from PA and WA. I have stayed there numerous times and always appreciate the friends front desk staff accommodating me with a great room with a view of Catalina Island on a clear day, the sail boats racing around, and just relaxing on the balcony...

Parling is abyssmal Be prepared to hike and climb many stairs with a significant incline. This place would daunt an everest climber. You don't want to forget anything in your room. No restaurant on property - Poll snack bar food was terrible

This was our third stay at the Newport Coast Villas. Every single time the check in process has been a huge cluster! There is NEVER enough parking around the lobby. Cars are stacked in line, some without drivers, blocking other cars. 10 minute parking signs everywhere that nobody pays any attention too! If you check in on a weekend, guaranteed...

First and foremost, the resort is beautiful with a wonderful scenic view of hills and ocean and golf course. The room are large and well equipped. The negatives are caused by lack of staff. We were told to leave our trash out by 10 AM and most days the trash was not collected until late afternoon even though the birds...
