This was my first trip since the pandemic and I had multiple meetings in Silicon Valley. I chose this hotel because of the ratings but was disappointed to find that the hotel clearly did not match the ratings. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, which seem to be how most people are rating the hotel. The room was dark and unclean. The nightstand was sticky, as was the controller. When taking a shower, the tub filled up with about 3 -4 inches of water and took about 15 minutes to drain. The toiletries provided were minimal. I was glad I brought my own and there was no breakfast. I was told by the staff that they weren't doing breakfast because of COVID restrictions. Well, I had a colleague staying across the street at another hotel and met him there so we could travel together for a meeting and they had a full breakfast bar. It's obvious that they are operating the hotel on a shoestring and trying to squeeze out as much profit as possible while providing the bare minimum to guests. And the beds were terrible, hard and uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend staying here unless staff friendliness is more important to you than cleanliness, amenities and location.

Just back from a 2 week stay in this hotel. The room was quite well presented but the beds did not provide the most comfortable nights sleep. Staff were friendly and I appreciated there understanding when my son blocked the toilet. Room amenities include a coffee machine with pods, a microwave, and a fridge for storing food. Decent amount of plug sockets also provided. Biggest disappointment would have to be that there is an area downstairs for breakfast, but none provided and food is expensive at this time, so having to go out and find every meal is quite an additional consideration. Position of the hotel is good, with an in n out burger and jack in a box fast food restaurants, and a wall greens, Starbucks and knob hill food supermarkets all within walking distance. Downtown mountain view is walkable working 20 mins, and the transit centre for VTA and caltrain walkable in 35-40 mins.

Hotel Vue is like my 2nd home. The staff are incredible. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable as possible The manager MIGUEL is ALWAYS on the move. He keeps the Hotel well maintained. You will never see him in one place. When I stay here for work I feel VERY SAFE n PROTECTED. At night the only way you can enter is if you have a key. When it is time to check out. Sometimes i might need to extend my stay the only person I would TRUST to handle it is MIGUEL. The reason for that is because he is the most PATIENT and HELPFUL manager i know. Other places I used to stay at the manager's r RUDE n OBKNOXIOUS. They are not into HELPING you at all. So if ever you are looking for a place to stay. Come to HOTEL VUE. Where the guests ALWAYS come FIRST.

This is my first review of any product or service online. I *NEVER* write reviews. However, this experience was so very terrible that I believe I must take the time. This hotel was absolutely awful. The service was abysmal. They are running it on the thinnest dime imaginable and greatly understaffed. The housekeeping staff is not taking the masking seriously and neither are the managers. If you are not vaccinated, you will very likely contract COVID here. The room furnishings and furniture is old, dusty and sub-par and was likely in need of renovations well before COVID and the lay-out of the room sucks. The carpets have many stains. I waited for hours to get extra toiletries as what is provided isn't enough for a half-person. I was not told upon check-in that there would not be daily housekeeping and it wasted hours for me during which I thought I needed to be out of the room. Even the TV didn't work properly. I don't believe the sheets are being washed between guests as there were several blond hairs on mine and my hair is dark. I understand money doesn't go as far in Silicon Valley (as elsewhere) but this was a new low in accommodations for someone who already had a couple tough trips there. Find an alternate hotel and, if affordable, maybe one that is not on El Camino Real because it's an annoying twilight zone like street you need to keep entering and exiting from ramps. I would have checked after the first day but was only there 2 nights and lacked the time to do so.

wrongedt, While we appreciate you taking time to share your review, we are deeply troubled by the feedback shared of your experience and we hope for the opportunity to learn what we could've done to meet or exceed your expectations. Please know that we are a small, family owned and operated hotel and our staff take great pride in the quality of our service and cleanliness of our hotel. Your experience is not representative of the accommodations our team work hard to provide our guests. I am truly regretful to hear that this was your experience. It's my hope that we have the chance to hear your direct feedback first hand, as well as to show that we are committed to providing our guests exceptionally clean rooms and friendly service when staying. Staying there so I could go to The Veterans Administration Hospital to visit another Veteran who's my cousin. It's about 10 minutes away. Miguel checked me in very Friendly and went out of his way for anything I needed. He let me check in about an hour and a half early and I requested a handicapped room and he set me right up. Plenty of parking, very clean from outside to inside. Very comfortable bed and chairs too! Even got an ottoman. Super clean bathrooms and the whole room. Next time I go to the VA Hosiptal I am definately going to stay again. I Would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again Miguel for running and having such a Great Place to stay. One more thing nice little coffee and tea bar. Sure got me going.
