Lincoln Hotel is about 30 mins driving from LAX airport. I took an Uber from the airport. The front desk check me in in a fast pace. The place is surrounded with a lot of food options, I personally ate BBQ nearby. Breakfast is provided, routine menu: bread, cereal, fruits, waffle...
The hotel is very Oriental oriented. Breakfast offered the usual items, cereal, juice and coffee with additional items like tea boiled eggs, soup and other Oriental items. Something different but very tasty. The property needs some care. I noticed leaking roofs in several areas. In addition, several areas of the hotel were closed off. Was this due to covid protocols? The bathroom is quite small and cramped. The room is large, clean, well-appointed and comfortable with mini fridge provided in the room. A ice/chilled water machine and microwave are provided in the hall. Free breakfast and parking are provided. All in all, a good value for the money.
I think it was pretty comfy. Some of the areas were a little dirty, but it isn’t as bad as people say it is. The beds are comfy and the breakfast is pretty good. Some folks just expect a little too much, but I don’t think this hotel was that bad. It’s perfect for a few days stay, and there are a lot of restaurants nearby.
The Lincoln is where we stay every couple weeks when my wife has multi-day treatments at Keck USC. BEST value for the money! Friendly staff always remembers us by name upon each return. Comfortable bed, great breakfast (try the tea eggs!), free parking that's guarded at night. Outstanding value for the money!
I stayed at the Lincoln Hotel in Monterey Park, CA from 5/24/2022 thru 5/27/2022. This hotel needs a serious remodeling. Bathroom sinks have old & badly scratched faucet, worn & faded formica, elevators are dirty w worn carpets and chipped paneling. Lincoln Hotel used to have a restaurant, bar and ballroom but all are closed and papered over--its best days are in the past. This gives guests a depressing experience. If you travel on a budget, the rate might be attractive. If you don't want to feel you are staying in a hotel that is on serious decline, would suggest a newer hotel in San Gabriel area. The Lincoln Hotel needs a serious remodel and infusion of capital. The newer places in Monterey Park are more attractive and much cleaner to visit. It does offer a breakfast & decent coffee, but think one can get that in newer hotels too.…
Nice enough property, no chain brand yet. Breakfast options are limited and have an asian touch (noodles), but that is Monterey Park to you. Parking structure is comfortable. At night security guard in lobby. Please put up a new flag, that ripped one is shameful !
The quality of communication of addressing concerns and meeting a liable relationship with Surestay Best Western was difficult to work with as a loyal member of Best Western. I found the distance at a level of appreciation only when I addressed both the independent management and Best Western customer relations. This was a task in maintaining these two contracted businesses as contained as one. It is an independent hotel in need of further training on how to work with Best Western for the guests who turned to this hotel as a Surestay Collection.
Wife and I have been staying here 2 to 3 nights every other week for the past 6 months while she goes through procedures at USC Keck Medical. Searched high and low for a reasonable place close to the hospital. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating (especially George!) Whenever we need anything they are very responsive. The room has a comfortable king bed, a mini fridge, and a large flat screen smart TV. If you have Prime or Netflix be sure to ask the front desk for their smart TV remote. Parking is free and is attended by security guard Omar at night from 11p to 7a. You won't find a better deal for the price!
The staff was unfriendly and only 1 guy spoke English. The room did not have a microwave and to use one, you had to go to the ice machine. There was no pool and no restaurant. The bath towels were thin, rough and small. The TV remote did not work because it was a Universal Remote and we had a smart tv, so it needed the smart tv remote that a maintenance man finally gave us. The beds felt like you were laying on concrete. Breakfast was decent but definitely did not knock our socks off. We found a dead cockroach in our room.
We had a dirty room, poor maid service(requested to have room made up to it having only one bed made up not both and towels were still all over the floor), not a good variety of breakfast food (no kids friendly foods, no breakfast variety of eggs and meat or breads),
