Nice B&B with spacious rooms/suites. Lovely courtyards and convenient location to many of the nearby attractions. Breakfast was included and was continental but ample. Coffee service in room was nice as well as the complimentary bathrobes.

Good hotel with clean, spacious rooms, free parking and a simple but good quality continental breakfast of cereals, bagels, croissants, fruit, jams and pre-boiled eggs. The hotel is close to a number of restaurants, the wharf and downtown. Cannery Row is a manageable walk away. Check in was straight forward and friendly. We found the parking to be ample for...

Place is more like a small hotel (about 25 rooms) than your typical Bed and Breakfast. Room was clean and spacious, but a little dated looking. It felt like the 1970's or 1980's. Possible that a room in the "old house" part of the complex might have more charm, but unsure. Breakfast was "continental" with a wide variety of breads,...

We liked this place. We had a room on the second floor. It has a nice fireplace and high ceilings. Plenty of space. The bathroom was fine too. Everything was very clean. Parking was ok (with a Jeep Compass), though I can imagine that with a bigger car this might be more of a challenge. Location is very good; wharf...

We arrived after a drive from San Francisco to be greeted in a friendly manner at Merritt House. We stayed in part of Judge Merritt's house a legendary Adobe. We had a wonderful lounge, bedroom and bathroom in old traditional Californian style. Very different from what we are used to but traditional, homely and comfortable. Our accommodation was well appointed...

We stayed here one night. The rooms have tall cathedral ceilings (second floor), a fireplace and lots of room. Leather chair in room. They gave us a couple of self burning logs for the fireplace. Nice atmosphere. The next morning they had a great breakfast in a quaint dining room. Thought we were in Europe. The staff is super friendly...

I booked this motel through booking.com. Pay attention to the number of stars that the motel is ranked. It will give you the baseline of the motel. The inn was clean, but I realized I am not crazy at staying at a dated place. There is no air conditioning. The location is favorable. It is within walking distance to the...

The location of the Merritt House is great, walking distance to everything. Sadly the rooms and amenities are lacking. I stayed here for a business trip and the room was booked for me. I always prefer the smaller boutique type hotels vs the large chains but this one did not cut the mustard. The property is quite old and in...

I booked this because it was the only accommodation available in Monterey on my dates, so my expectations were low. But they needn't have been - this Inn provides AMAZING value for money. Big, clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms, decorated in a really quirky and individual manner. No room is the same. Breakfast was included, and was good. And parking...

Just returned from our 2 night stay at this inn. Motel is more like it. The actual Merritt House, an old adobe is a distance away and our room was upstairs over a horrific parking area with tightly packed in cars, and they allowed other cars to park behind this garage area so you had to wait for these car...
