At the last minute, during Spring Break, we decided to hop on over the Monterey. The Merritt House Inn had availability for our mid-week jaunt, and we were pleased to see they offered a breakfast as well. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the convenient location. However, once inside, we were left wanting a little more. At over $200/night, we...

We spent a rainy weekend at this charming boutique hotel. Very tastefulyl furnished, the decor is warm and relaxing. Vaulted wooden ceiling, french doors, wood burning fireplace, just perfect for a chilly spring night. Nice size room with a spacious dressing area with skylight over the sink. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located downtown, making it...

This Inn is located near the Wharf, downtown, and the Monterey Trolley which is free on weekends. The trolley takes you to the Wharf, Cannery Road, and the Monterey Aquarium ( No 1 Aquarium in the world). This Inn is family owned and run. It is fantastic. The rooms are large, with lots of anemities, and a fireplace. The place...

Spent 3 nights at this great little hotel . Near everything. Walkable to wharf, acquarium, etc. And includes parking for no extra fee!! Room was excellent with fireplace! Super nice staff. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the continental breakfast was so-so. Wish they could have upped their game a little on that. Otherwise, excellent...

The first night was TERRIBLE!! The hotel was unprepared for the cold snap. The heating is an antiquated system. That along with the vaulted ceilings froze our @**** off!! Our room had a fireplace with the flue 'fixed' in the 'open' position..and NO FIRE LOGS!! 😱 My husband & I kept our shoes & socks on as well as our...

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hidden gem. The moment we walked into our room we were very pleased with all the wonderful little touches. Even a jar with q-tips and make remover pads. Loved the thoughtful touches (a bottle of water in the fridge). The bed was comfortable and had plenty of extra covers. The breakfast consisted...

One of my favourite inns on our Californian road trip as it was a bit different. I think I actually said "wow" as I walked through the door with the high ceilings, this was not what I was expecting. Great location in Monterey for Fisherman's Wharf and other restaurants and bars. Rooms are beautifully decorated, and have an open fire...

This Inn is quirky, and has everything you could ask for except the parking. But we over looked that because from the time we checked in, the staff is friendly attentive and willing to do everything to please their guests. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Location is perfect to walk to downtown and fine dining. Will be back...

Stayed here for two nights, not what we expected but a pleasant surprise. Ideally situated, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast simple but good. One of our favourite places that we stayed on this holiday.
