On the good side: the room was spacious and seemed clean. On the not-so-good side: the fitness room is antiquated, the wifi is free but VERY slow, the breakfast is the usual continental (where one wonders which continent that is supposed to represent ...). Two things I didn't like: (i) they put me up into a room facing the street...

The hotel is in a good location. Has plenty of parking. Really easy to use. The grounds are well maintained . Was told by management that it was recently remodeled. Maybe carpet & beds. Not the bathroom. Very dated. Looked original. 60's ! Significant airplane noise but not too bad, as the Monterey airport isn't too busy. I wasn't expecting...

While the staff are friendly and courteous, the location of the travelodge and the poor sound insulation make it impossible to sleep. Many of the units face a major roadway where you hear tons of traffic, as well as noisy motorcycles zooming by.

Overall ok stay. Hotel grounds are alittle run down and in need of a facelift. Room was pretty nice, a little drab but ok. Breakfast was basic, nothing different from basic. Was priced at 140 per night which if I did not have a whaling trip I needed to make I would not have paid the price. Hotel should run...

This Travelodge is on the outskirts of the town so away from the quaint part of Monterey but it had a lovely big room with comfy beds, coffee maker, fridge and a nice outdoor pool.
