Neat old building that is hardly noticable as a hotel from the outside. But once inside you discover it has a lot of charm. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Actually was two separate rooms with separate bathrooms. The rooftop lounge/bar/restaurant was pretty cool for a drink and appetizer before heading out for the evening. Short 10 min walk...

This place is a treasure for adventurous folks with curiosity and humor! Its an old hostel that only had one bathroom per floor, which has been updated (and re-plumbed) for use as a hotel....its absolutely off the wall, with old Victorian furnishings, an elevator that is as fast as an Italian tank, and an open rooftop restaurant with the best...

A tale very much of high and lows: Highs - Excellent roof dinner & drinks, good service. Beautiful view, nice heaters. Free breakfast was wonderful. Impressive decor and dishes (of you are into that; I am not). Lows 1. Parking is awful, or non-existent. There are about 5 parking spaces, and I assume about 15 rooms. Even if there was...

We spend a couple of nights here - the room was small but clean, bathroom ok and breakfast was identical both mornings which is ok if there are more than 2 choices. The man who we think is the owner was not interested in anyone and did not interact in any positive manner. The hotel is also on a busy...

It was like walking into the Bates Motel from Psycho, after our long drive from Santa Barbara we couldnt believe it!! it was out of the Addams family set.. Walking into this hole was a true shock to the system. One of the worst hotels in USA I have visited. I do not understand how it been advertised as a...

Unfortunately this was an awful, dingy and surreal 4 night experience, staying in this hotel, during our 3-week US trip travelling from Las Vegas to San Fransisco. Poor quality rooms and decor (leopard pattern cushions and cheap canvases), dirty communal areas (filthy carpets) and tacky furniture and doesn't reflect the, absurd overworked, professional photos as seen on booking.com. This hotel...

Stayed here one night on our way from Morro Bay to San Fransisco. Room as described, clean and decent - decor was not to our taste, but thats a personal thing. Drinks on the rooftop at night were a nice touch (they had a private party, but still catered for residents). We were very kindly accommodated an early breakfast as...

A small boutique hotel. Our room was right next to the reception so was very noisy and the plumbing made an absolute racket. Room was very small and yet bathroom was huge. Rooftop bar was awesome as was the food and view. Breakfast was very good and silver services treat parking can be hard to find but is free even...

First time at this European feeling hotel. On a very busy street with a great view of the bay from the terrace. Rooms are small but very comfortable with deliciously soft linen. Our room was toward the back and was very quiet. The breakfast will amaze you. It starts out with a hot fresh popover and great coffee. Everything is...

So the room is a room, small, typical for an inner city hotel. The bed was fine, the room was fine. The best part of the stay was their great breakfast. Juice, coffee, great yogurt with fresh fruit, eggs, toast. It was wonderful. The staff were wonderful as well. We stayed on a ground floor room so perhaps that helped...
