Every employee was helpful, including their local recommendations for food & fun. Convenient location along the Russian River, near cafes & restaurants. Clean facility. The only negative was the small size of the rooms, but would definitely stay again.
Casa Secoya is run by the nicest people, it was immaculate, and we loved the garden, decor, swimming pool, the neighborhood behind the motel to walk the dogs (on leashes) the whole vibe of the place is quite awesome. We will definitely return.
Great place. I'm from Vegas so I thought a little pricey for Monte Rio. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Grounds were real nice. The golf course was great as usual, however the service there was horrible.
This place is unique, carefully crafted to make you feel comfortable, well decorated and offers several amenities to take you away from the hustle and bustle of the City. Excellent service with attention to detail.
Our stay was very nice, peaceful, and the rooms are well equipped. We loved the grounds, it was too cold for us to try out the pool, but it looked lovely. We really enjoyed how landscaped and dog friendly the property is, and appreciated the ice in the cooler. Here are a few notes on how our room and stay in #22 could have improved (we generally liked it , just giving honest feedback, hope it is helpful): -Room was extremely musty when we arrived, should potentially be aired out prior to arrival (the smell eventually went away) -The hot water was scorching hot at both sinks, but lukewarm in the shower. I believe the valve in the shower handle is malfunctioning, showering was very unpleasant for all -The floor was quite dirty, our socks were black immediately. Housekeeping needs to do a better job mopping -The mattress on the bed is, and I'm not trying to be rude, but at absolute joke for $400+ per night. This needs to be changed, even for a basic foam mattress from Amazon. It felt old, springy, cheap. After so many wonderful updates please don't forget the most important part of an overnight stay, the bed. :) -A very inexpensive soap dish in the bathroom would save a lot of mess, and is found in even budget hotels -The fridge is pinned in against the wall, and the door opens the wrong way for where it is. Switch the position of the fridge and the stove, makes a lot more sense and is more practical (stove closer to wall, fridge where stove was) or change to a fridge that opens from the other side. You can 't see inside the fridge or access items. The utensils and items in the kitchen were thoughtfully selected, we loved the kitchen sink and faucet, the furniture seemed well suited to the space available, and we loved the clean patio and outside seating area we, used it all the time. The fireplace worked wonderfully. I would def return, though the thought of sleeping on that bed again makes me hesitate. …
