The Inn was adequate. The shower was not the best, and the beds were hard. However it was fine for our purpose We found we were not very far from restaurants and stores if you have a car. The breakfast was minimal, but they did offer fresh fruit...oranges & apples.

We went to this Inn after an AirBnB disaster and checked in at 5 a.m. Thankfully they had a room. This is a very basic hotel which could use an upgrade of general things. For example, there was mold in the bathroom above shower and in wallpaper edging. No microwave in the room. Comes with small fridge. Light was broken but they did immediately replace. Toilet ran and we reported it but it was not fixed. Basic breakfast with toast and bagels and cereals but when it runs out it is out so get there early. Good coffee available almost all day and in to evening. Very nice staff!

After past experiences in Pasadena's dismal motels, I sought out this nearby motel a few miles east. It is charming and clean, convenient to the interstate, and close to neighborhood shopping and restaurants. Quaint downtown Arcadia is two blocks west, and a nice shopping center is a couple blocks east (Trader Joe's, Mervyn's)

Don't count on the continental breakfast - it is very sparse. Cereal, OJ, and a few pastries on a table in the lobby. But, there's a good looking family restaurant right on the corner (Though I didn't eat there)

Online, the Oak Tree Inn seems to get rated as a three star motel. I would say it's more like two or two-and-a-half. Furniture is a little worn, and the wallpaper installation is less than perfect, but the rooms are clean and spacious and the grounds are well maintained. My interaction with the staff was simply delightful.

I wouldn't hesistate to stay here again when visiting LA / Pasadena.

My dad wanted a place close to the hospital to visit my aunt while she did chemo ( which was a 7 minute drive). Definitely would have driven further based on how crappy this hotel was. Unfortunately my dad didn’t listen to me and booked this hotel since the rose bowl parade caused many hotels to be booked out.
The first room they gave us was dirty & had lots of ants. I cannot believe they thought it was okay to send guests in a room that wasn’t even swept. I’ve been in so many hotels without my family when I go on vacation. Not ONCE have I ever had a hotel not give me a full roll of toilet paper. They left what the last guest left in the restroom which was little to nothing. For as much as we paid you would THINK they would have the decency to at least leave a whole roll of toilet paper. We were in there not even 20 minutes & had to have the cleaning lady spray the crack in the wall for the ants . It killed the ants all in the restroom but occurred again 10 minutes after with more ants. The room was old( not like pictures online), had spots , and holes all around the room. We moved to another room which was upstairs. This room was completely different, cleaner, & smelled nicer. Only to realize they sprayed it so much because in reality it REAKED of we*d. The first day we were smelling it my little brother & I got headaches. I couldn’t even sleep at night because of the smell through the wall. The worst part was the smell got worse and worse everytime we used the restroom. It was coming through the vent & made our entire room so bad. I have never had a scent so strong cause me a migraine & want to get sick. We called the front desk to ask if there was any complaints from the cleaning ladies hoping they knew what room it was. Considering this is a smoke free hotel a worker cleaning the room would have definitely been able to tell which room it was. Manager said no but we explained we couldn’t deal with it anymore. My dad asked him to come smell the room himself to see how terrible it was. The next day after a long day at the hospital visiting my aunt, we got food and went back to the hotel to rest, and eat. I scan my card on the door and it doesn’t turn green. I try to open the door and nothing happens. It is pouring rain, cold, we are tired , and hungry yet we are unable to get into our room. I have my dad go downstairs because my mom, little brother , & I had to use the restroom. Finally, my dad comes up & tells us the lady at the front had to restart our key cards. Please make that make sense!!!! We paid for 4 days why would our key cards not work!
This is the worst hotel I have ever been to.
Do yourselves a favor, do not spend money on this hotel, and don’t let these “ good” comments fool you.

I can only say that the lady that checked us in was pleasant. From the outside the inn looks amazing as we walked the hall to our room 201 the smell of urine was loud once we was near our room there was a male standing in door next to our room with drugs in his hand. Walked into room and I didn’t even want to take off my shoes the rug was dirty, bed blankets had burn holes in them. Went to sleep and was awakened by the smell of crack coming through the walls got up and checked out immediately!!

Room is old, coffee pot is dirty, shower was broken so no shower.
I was moved to another "unclean" room for shower. Garbage and tower is all over the floor. Quite disappointed. This is not what we have expected, and unacceptable.
Asked for deduction, but no response so far.

Drove all night. Really happy to find a room. Good value for the money.

Good bar and a Mexican restaurant down the street. Slept like a rock. They found me a fork for my ramen when I checked in real late at night.

Very run down and old. Blankets and bed spreads were full of holes. Carpet was very dirty. Pool was cold and had to tell staff to turn on heat for spa. Did not like having to pay whole week up front. Only cleaned room twice during our week stay. VERY skimpy breakfast of old doughnuts, two kinds of cereal and watered-down OJ. Did not see other families staying here and would not advise so. Maybe OK for single travelers. Rooms were quiet even though next to freeway. Poor reception and few channels on TV and all phone calls are toll. Would not stay here again.

It's about 6 to 10 miles give or take. Your best bet would be to take the 210 freeway to the 605.
