I was going to give this just 4 stars, but since my wife demanded we re-book on our way home 4 days later since she was so in love with this place, that wouldn't be fair. The owners have indeed managed to hit the right feel of redwood paneling and tasteful but not kitschy interior decorations in an original motor...

How kind of you to take time to give us a double review for two stays! I wish you had told us any suggestions to make your one cottage more enjoyable for you, but I can tell you that Wi Fi is not one of our featured attractions. It enables you to check email and that is about it. One...

We've gone to the Humboldt redwoods twice, and stayed both times at Miranda Gardens. The resort's location is perfect, closer to the southern section of the Avenue of the Giants, with a market and a restaurant (Avenue Cafe) practically across the street. The cabins are cozy, nicely furnished and clean, and they're surrounded by towering redwood trees. The resort's attendants...

Honestly I was expecting more kitsch. They've done a great job of keeping that old motor lodge charm and updating the inside. Really great stay with great cafe across the street and coffee shop too. Really a great space to explore the Humboldt Redwoods from.

How kind of you to appreciate our genuine 1929 Motor Court that was lovingly taken apart and rebuilt by the present owner over the past FORTY years! It has been a labor of love to reuse the virgin growth timber used in those days when your grandparents took their new car for a spin and parked it in the garage...

Spring break with two kids and we were soaked after a forced (at first) hike when we got to cabin 6--heaven! Just beautiful! Went and got a few things from the market that is almost across the street and made food in the kitchen, played Jenga and settled in for the night. Clean is an understatement. It's gorgeous. Redwood trees...

What a lovely review and I am pleased you got to see our resort during the quieter months. The rain sounds so hushed coming through the Redwoods. Our staff is always pleased to be complimented as to the immaculate attention the cottages receive from them. Thank you for your kind words and we hope you will return.

Stopped overnight on the way to Oregon. Cabin 6 was very clean. Easy parking. Comfortable beds. Kitchen contained everything we needed for dinner. Warm and cozy fireplace room. TV reception and channel choices not good. Bring a HDMI cable to stream your computer to flatscreen. Eve at front desk friendly and helpful. Back deck was private...wish I had time to...

April, You have captured our winter atmosphere perfectly! Our staff is proud of the good job they do, and your interaction with Eve was further proof. Thanks for noticing. As to our wi fi, we are in a remote location and are lucky to have anything at all! Your suggestion of a HDMI cable is something we will explore. With...

The room was very tastefully done and very clean. There was a TV, small refrigerator, and small coffee pot provided; no microwave. MY ADVISE- Bring your own blankets for warmth!!!!! We were in Miranda for a cmas party and it was a bit chilly out side so we made sure to check that the wall heater in our cabin was working...

Anna, We learned of your most unfortunate incident the next afternoon and although we have removed and replaced the heater, we are most concerned about your experience. I have left several messages at the phone number on your reservation card and have only reached the answering machine. We would very much like to make it up to you if you...

Among the giant redwoods with many on the property it self. this cute resort was build many years ago, but is kept spotless. Most of the cabins are individual so the grounds are very quiet, There is a basic market across and one restaurant in town. Nothing fancy here, just a cute place from days gone by. You get 1...

Thanks Steve, Yes, this was originally a 1929 Motor Court, the kind that your grandparents probably sought out when they bought their first car. The present owner purchased the resort almost 40 years ago and remodeled all the cabins so they have a bedroom and updated amenities. We have some 3rd generation guests who now bring their own children and...

Miranda Gardens is in a small town off US-101, about 29 miles south of Eureka, along the Avenue of the Giants. The room, 2A is small, but decent and clean. I suggest 4 and 4A, bigger rooms, but of course a little higher than 2A. They serve breakfast, bagels, toasts and juices. Across the street is a restaurant and few...

Each of our cottages is different and as you mentioned, different sizes. One of the advantages of being an original 1929 Motor Court! We have cottages like 2A that will work for 2 all the way up to cottages with kitchens, fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Thanks for your visit and your comments. Hope to see you again.

We traveled from Crescent City to Miranda because my 8 year old grandson was playing in a football game at Miranda High School. And we will welcome you back! The resort assumes a different atmosphere in the winter time. The rain on the trees sounds hushed and a warm cabin with a fireplace is just the ticket for a restful night's sleep. Some of our returning guests meet family and friends here over the Holidays because it is so quiet and always beautiful....
